What Is Find-Out Friday? Hilltop School is pleased to offer Find-Out Friday.
This extracurricular program is for the Fridays of each session of
the school year (pending adequate commitment, as explained below). Students
have the oppurtunity to attend school on any or all of the Fridays in a
session, for a day of fun and "Find-Out" adventures!
For whichever Friday(s) your child attends, there will be a group-based thematic activity, usually at the 10-oclock hour. A few ideas for our frolic include "Friendship Day," "Free Throw Day," "Fitness Day," " Fossil Day," and "Folktale Day." One of our teacher's aides, familiar with each student's needs and interests, will direct participants throughout the day for a mix of structured activites and free play. Bring your child early, let them stay late, but be sure your child is here by 10 a.m. to participate in the "FIND-OUT FRIDAY" activity! *Students who have difficulties completing thier classwork during the regular school week are strongly encouraged to attend on Fridays for a session of "ketchup"-extra time to catch up on their work, with extra support. * * * * * * *
The Goal of "FIND-OUT FRIDAY" is to provide
a quality program for our students, that is both affordable and convenient
for parents, caregivers, and Hilltop School.
To meet this goal, Hilltop must: * REQUIRE a 5-hour minimum commitment per participant per Friday, at a cost of $3.00 per hour ($15.00 per Friday). * ACCUMULATE a minimum commitment of 120 childcare hours per Friday in order to offer this program for the session. * REQUEST prompt resonses from potential participants to ensure clear communications when determining the feasibility of a session. * RECEIVE a pre-payment of the total days/hours committed, once it has been determined that the program will be offered, payment to be due by the Thursday prior to the session start-date. * DROP-INS are welcome at a rate of $3.50 per hour, with a 5-hour minimum ($17.50) per Friday. Please CALL FIRST before bringing your child on the Friday in question. *Additional hours (at $3.00 per hour) or drop-ins (at $3.50 per hour) will be billed seperately at the end of each session. |
