We can rejoice in this day because it is what the Lord has purposefully made (Psalm 118:24). But one day He will decide not to do that. The Lord spoke the earth into existence, and one day He will speak it out of existence. You see, He upholds all things by the Word of His power (Hebrews 1:3). Heaven & earth will pass away, but the Word of the Lord will not come to an end (Luke 21:33). That means even if you didn't want to deal with His Word now, you would still come face to face with it in eternity, whether in heaven or hell, because it will still be there outlasting everything forever!
