The Church dream

This is a dream I had 9/21/07. I was in a large fellowship hall trying to preach a message to a big group of people. I was trying to get across with urgency a description of different groups of people within the church by categorizing the way they thought and acted. I described the ones who were saved acted accordingly, and the ones who were unsaved by pointing out cartain things, and then described the ones who thought they were Christians but thought and acted in culturally acceptable ways were out of God’s will. During this time almost everyone was distracted by someone next to them talking or a child demanding attention or a concern they had prevented them from focussing. I repeatly had to backtrack and reemphasize my points but I still wasn’t getting through to the majority. My voice was growing hoarse and felt like even when I gained some people’s minds I would lose others. It was frustratingly tiring me out, as I did not have a microphone and the atmosphere was noisy. Eventually I climbed some steps to a platform where I overlooked the large group of people, but saw the same disarray occuring, even people moving around. I announced to the crowd I recently saw a slide presentation and wished they could have seen it to help them get the full impact, but that I would try to describe it (which was going to be hard since they already weren’t listening most of the time). The slide show opened with the questions “Where can you go to get your needs met?” I paused and hoped it sunk in. Next question “Where do you go to get you above your circumstances?” “Where can you go to meet new friends?” I threw out a few more examples like that. “Where can you go to enhance your life?” etc…. and then I added, “Where can you go to meet a beautiful woman”? I then answered “THE CHURCH” and before I could make the most important point of the message a group of people came in and said they needed to use the room, which brough further chaos to the whole auditorium and there were people moving around and shuffling chairs. I tried to raise my voice but after minutes there were only a very small amount of people left with a look on their faces like I needed to start all over or they wouldn’t comprehend what I preached. And the main point the Lord was trying to get over was that people come to the church to get all these and more things but not to love Him! That correlated to the beginning words I said concerning those who were saved and unsaved. However, I was not even able to relay this to the leftover people when my alarm clock went off, thus ending the dream! And the underlying truth is that the greatest part of the people in the church were not ready when the (alarming) Day of the Lord came.
