Interests:
Music: I enjoy music. It reaches the spiritual side I believe. I like emo (The Juliana Theory, Jimmy Eat World, Dear Ephesus, Appleseed Cast, SDRE, Mineral, The Gloria Record, The Anniversary, Pedro the Lion, The Get Up Kids, The Promise Ring) and lots of other good music--of course. Other bands I enjoy are MxPx, Arthur, Chemical Brothers, Craig's Brother, Stretch Arm Strong, Plankeye, Joy Electric, Supertones, Krusty Watch Guys, Third Eye Blind, Jars of Clay, and U2. I've played the guitar for about 7 years, and the piano since like 2nd grade. I've played in several bands ("The A-pooh-sticks", Alternate Route, Borderline, Creatures from the Blue Lagoon, 100W Bulb, and the Scotty Lenger and Andy Barnett Duet), and I miss them all. :(
Sports: I love snowboarding. I've been riding since before it became hip in pop culture. I ride a 159 tri-hull rusty 98 board. I've ridden in Alaska, Utah, Colorado, Washington, Oregon, California, and West Virginia.
Mountianbiking is another passion. Nothing like the thrill of screemin down the mountain. I've been inline skating quite a bit with some roller hockey. I also dig freestyle biking and skateboarding, but i'm not very experienced in those areas.
I've played the ball sports before, but they don't really interest me. I played a season of tennis in HS, and I cheerlead/stunted my freshman year at SPU. I really want to start surfing, but Seattle or Alaska isn't the greatest for that.
Organizations: I think that Young Life is the greatest thing on earth. I have participated at all levels. I started the Young Life in Chugiak, Alaska. I was at Malibu Club for work crew last summer of 98. Best month of my life! In high school I was also involved in NHS, Key Club, Science Olympiad, SADD, and other clubs.
Pastimes: I used to have tons of pets: ferrets, rats, snakes, lizards, newts, frogs, and hundreds of fish. I try to write in my journal, do devotions, read, and do creative things. I spend a lot of time just thinking and dreaming whether I like to or not.
Apparel: I most often wear the surf/snow company apparel made by Billabong, QUIKSILVER, Rusty, Gotcha, Redsand, and others. I also sport stuff by Adidas, 26Red, Mossimo, and Airwalk.
Dreams: I desire to draw closer to God, with a wonderful family, helping people as a doctor, living by the sea and the mountains (West Coast, New Zealand?), and going abroad occasionally for medical missions.
