John Franklin Reed died on September 15, 1935 in East
Orange, New Jersey. The following story was run in the local paper in
Essex County.
Thomas I. Reed's cousin, John H. Mundt
III recalled his Uncle Frank's funeral. There was an honor parade
and he was buried with full colors. My grandfather was stationed in Hawaii with
the 27th U. S. Infantry when his father died.
