Something Blue
There were only two days before the wedding. The house was filled. Rianna’s father flew in just in time, so now privacy wasn’t an option.
Nick and Rianna decided to drive out to her house and spend the night alone together.
“I’ve been waiting so long for this. You have no idea.” Nick said in a deep, randy tone as he unbuttoned his shirt. Rianna lit the candles around the room and turned the lights off.
“Have I been neglecting you that much?” She asked, he nodded yes.
“Well, that ends tonight.” Rianna pulled her sun dress off and got into bed. “Come here, Papi.” Nick got in bed next to her and made a trail of kisses from her chin to her navel.
“They’re gonna wonder where we’ve disappeared to.” Rianna said, just as he reached her panties.
“So, let them wonder. Besides, it shouldn’t take them long to figure out where two people deeply in love might go when they have no time to themselves at home.” Nick responded, pulling her panties down, passed her ankles. He climbed on top of her and she started unzipping his khaki shorts.
“And I promise to roll over when we’re through.” Nick remembered. Rianna smiled.
He continued to kiss her. The room felt too silent. She reached for the CD player remote and turned on some mellow “banging” music, as Nick liked to call it. It set a rhythm and a romantic mood.
Nick was holding her now, tightly, and all at once, her knees felt weak. All at once the music seemed to get louder as though the artist was performing right there, in the room. All at once the room was spinning. The candles appeared to burn brighter. Nick’s skin grew warmer. Hotter.
She looked at the clock. 12:19. She looked up at Nick above her. His hair in his eyes. He kissed her lips. The music grew even louder, closer. The candles burned brighter. Nick, even hotter. 1:47.
Were they floating? Why did she feel so elevated? Higher still. Her fingers tingled. Her mind raced. Nick held her closer. Closer still. The candles seemed to form a circle of fire around them. Her skin was as hot as Nick’s now. 2:23.
There was an explosion deep inside of her. Then another. The feeling of elevation faded. She could feel the mattress under her now. The circle of fire lessened, there were only lit candles. The light from the candles dimmed. The music was soft. Softer. Silent. The CD’s had stopped playing. Nick was still warm. 3:36. Nick kissed her, then rolled over as promised. Rianna took a deep breath, then slept.
The sun was coming up when Rianna opened her eyes. Nick was already in the bathroom brushing his teeth.
“What happened to me last night?” She asked as soon as she sat up.
“What are you talking about?” Nick asked, a little confused, his mouth filled with foamy toothpaste.
“I felt like I was high on LSD or something. That was like the best experience of my entire life.” Nick rinsed his mouth out and jumped on the bed.
“LSD? Well, I knew I was good to you, but damn!” Rianna hit him playfully on the back of his head.
“Look what I got you.” He reached under the bed and pulled out a silver gift bag with white tissue paper sticking out from the top. She looked inside and pulled out some kinky lingerie. There was a sheer bra with a sheer thong to match. A sheer baby-doll sleeper. And high-heeled slippers to complete the bedroom ensemble. All in a beautiful shade of baby blue.
“Where did you get this?” Nick’s faced flushed red.
“Victoria’s Secret yesterday. The clerk said I can see EVERYTHING through this material.” He stressed, grinning.
Marie’s old necklace, the Carter girls' new earrings, Marcy’s borrowed hair pins, and now Nick’s blue lingerie. Rianna was ready for marriage.
