Information Resources for Pharmacists
- American Association of Poison Control Centers --- Provides tools to find poison control centers in other states, statistics on poisoning, consumer education, and descriptions of myths about poisons.
- Bon Secours Pharmacy Homepage --- Compilation of resources for the students and staff working at the Bon Secours Pharmacy. Also includes numerous links to external pharmacy web sites and other resources.
- Centers for Disease Control and Prevention --- Site includes a wealth of information on infectious diseases (statistics, general fact sheets, etc). Also provides free full-text access to Mortality and Morbidity Weekly Reports
- Drug Topics --- An online journal for pharmacists.
- FD & C Reports --- Provides summaries of recent editions of the various "color" sheets (gold, tan, gray, silver, blue, rose, and green).
- HerbMed --- Information about commonly-used medicinal herbs.
- Institute for Safe Medication Practices --- Extensive information for healthcare providers and the general public about medication errors and adverse effects of medications
- Johns Hopkins Antibiotic Guide --- Updated information on specific antibiotics and their uses. Searchable by drug name, diagnosis, or pathogen. Requires free registration.
- Maryland Poison Center --- Web site of local poison control center. Includes emergency contact info by phone and TDD. Site also offers an interactive quiz, information about local poison education programs for professionals and laypeople, and fact sheets ("tox alerts") about common poisons.
- Medi-Lexicon Searchable listing of pharmaceutical and medical acronyms and abbreviations. Also includes medical news and infromation on limited number of medical conditions.

- Medscape (requires free registration)
- Merck Medicus --- A gateway to many free, full-text resources, including Harrison's Online, Dorland's Medical Dictionary, and the Cecil Textbook of Medicine . Requires a free registration process that includes entering a valid professional license number.
- Oncolink --- A University of Pennsylvania site that provides cancer information to professionals and consumers. Many articles include bibliographies.
- Pharmacutical Research and Manufacturers of America --- An organization that consists of pharmacutical companies. A pro-industry site about the business aspects of pharmacy. Includes information on drugs in development and national and international policy news.
- Pharmacy Times --- Includes news and listings of CE opportunities for pharmacists. Other features are national job listings and a service to locate "long, lost friends" from pharmacy school.

- Physicians Online (requires free registration)
- Recalls.gov --- Site that consolidates recall information from various government agencies. Includes drug and medical device recalls as well as foods, cosmetics, motor vehicles, boats, environmental products, and consumer products.
- RxAssist --- Web site of program that identifies sources of low-cost pharmaceuticals for financially-needy patients. Designed for health professionals who are working on behalf of their patients.
- RX List: The Internet Drug Index
- UIC College of Pharmacy Drug Information Center --- Sponsored by the University of Illinois, this site includes up-to-date news on drugs, the pharmaceutical industry, and legal issues of interest to pharmacists in its "Drug Information Updates" and "Frequently Asked Questions" sections.
- United States Pharmacopoeia --- Largely an advertising web site, but includes helpful guideline on teaching children about medications and information on dietary supplements, veterinary pharmaceuticals, drug standards, and medication error reporting.
