While at the con,
I got to meet some very cool individuals, some of whom I have admired for years.
One such man is Russ Heath, pictured here. Mr. Heath has been drawing war comics
for years, at least since the 1960s. I know his work best from G.I. Joe,
as he worked on the Joe cartoon series, and he also drew issue #24 of
the original G.I. Joe comic book series. Incidentally, his art for issue
#24 is my absolute favorite of all the artists I've seen draw the original Marvel
run. Mr. Heath was a great guy to talk to and discuss art with; I only wish
I could draw half as well as him!
