I also had the pleasure
of meeting Brandon McKinney, former ElfQuest
artist. He gave me some great pointers and tips on my own ElfQuest
art, and it strengthened my desire to work for Wendy and Richard Pini someday.
I think he was a bit surprised that my favorite elf was One-Eye (who has been
dead in the ElfQuest
comics since 1983, sadly), but he was more than happy to draw a spectacular
picture of him for me (pictured below). This was also one of the best
drawings I got at the con. I had a wonderful time talking with Brandon, and
I hope to do it again one day.
