During the latter part of July and first
weekend in August, 2002, I attended the San Diego Comic Con for the first time.
I'd been told that it would blow me away, particularly because the only conventions
I'd been to up until that point were fairly small. Well, it was very true; I was
completely blown away by not only the enormous size of the con, but at just what
was being offered and all there was to see and do. Thanks to good friend Val Staples,
Matt Tyree and the rest of the guys at MV
Creations, I had a blast and was able to experience more in the world of comics
and animation than I ever would have here in little old Charles County, Maryland.
I met some incredible people, got sketches from talented artists, finally met
some online friends I'd talked to and known online for years, and more importantly,
I basked in the glory of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe's long-awaited
return! What follows are some of the pictures I took from my experience at the
San Diego Comic Con '02. Enjoy!
