I know, no big deal to you guys not located in Florida, but to us that's a good find. It's in poor condition but I'll keep it!!
What makes things even worse is that after I dug this from a hole almost seven inches deep I rechecked the hole for signals and got the same signal before I dug! Turns out that two roots had pinched a 1972 copper penny between them less than an inch down..... and I missed it the first time! Makes me wonder, if the 72 hadn't been there would I have gotten that Indian??
First silver coin from this location
I dug this from just over an inch deep.. an inch of roots that is!! The sun was just setting below the horizon and I couldn't read the dates on coins I was digging so I dug one last signal for the night and got this. I couldn't tell what it was or a date so when I got home 20 minutes later I sure was surprised. My first silver coin over 100 years old!!

While this coin isn't old it's still silver and still another first for me. First silver Canadian dime.
