San Diego Fan Review 1

Source: Libby (libby4art81@hotmail.com)

Monday, July 16th I went to the Nsync show in San Diego, CA....my hometown. It was all so overwhelming as I got there, to see how many people were as into them as I was, from where I came from, because it never seemed like there were THAT many people into them as much as there were there that night. Cars and Vans and Trucks and all kinds of automobiles were decorated. It was so funny. When I got into the stadium entrance, I saw a bunch of tents set up selling all the Nsync memorabalia. I wasnt able to buy it all, but I did take an 8x10 glossy photo of just Justin, in a black leather jacket, and a beautiful smile. It would have been great to get an autograph on it, but I wasnt that fortunate.

We got to our seats, and the set up of the stage was amazing. I kept looking at all the certain pieces and parts, trying to figure out how they were going to do the show etc. After waiting in our seats for an hour with Rolling Stones playing on the loud speakers, one of the DJ's from a local radio station came out, and he gave front row seats to the people with the worst seats in the house. It was so cool of him/them (the radio station). Eden's Crush came out and sang a few songs, they did really well, and at the time of their performing, I saw Justin's Mom arriving in a private glass box seated area above us....her and her husband and a few other people. I was so excited to be able to see her in real life, in person like that. I kept looking around for Britney as well, but no luck with that just yet.......after Eden's Crush, Dante Thomas came out and performed a "miss california" and a few other songs, I was so ansy at this point.....Samantha Mumba was the last to come out and do her show, her little brother was adorable and she did a really good job. She pumped us all up for Nsync at the end of her show...but the guys werent on for like an hour after she went off stage. My brother in law noticed a huge black box being wheeled into the crowd, and into the middle of the stage, we couldnt figure out what could have been in it and thought that maybe it was some of the guys or one guy, whatever.

So the show began. These scary looking jawa guys came walking out slowly to the sound of a haunting bell.....and they stood there for about 2 minutes when they just dissapeared with a loud poof and the robes dropped to the ground one by one. and then Nsync raised up from this orb thing in the middle of the small stage. I was in tears. I wasnt crying like one of the fanatic little girls, but I was so happy that they were RIGHT there and I was looking at them as they raised up all slow, and I just sat there in aww at them, at JUSTIN. Then they broke out into "POP" of course, and the stadium shook! I swear to god, the stadium was vibrating and shaking and all that good stuff. It was truly awesome. During the whole show the guys never screwed up once(of course) , they did a 110% show and I was so enthrawled by it all. What made me very happy is that I was able to hear the guys really well over all the screaming people. Im a true fan for their music, thats what comes first and I thought that it would be hard to hear them, but it wasnt anything like I thought. They had the best sound system all set up.

During the course of "Celebrity", the cameraman got up on stage and followed Justin down the runway in the front there, and I was watching the screen, when he just lost sight of Justin and there was a crystal clear shot of two girls sitting under the middle stage, It was Britney and JC's girl. I was like, "OH MY GAD! there she was!!", but unfortunately the people I was with did not see her......nor did they see the girl that got on stage! A girl managed (and JC spoke about this on Leno.) to get up on stage and visciously grab Justin and she wouldnt let go, poor guy.....he was trying to stick with the dancing and she wouldnt let go....man.....people like that are just ....I dont know. Its a form of desperation that I just dont admire and I dont think the guys really admired this stupid act either. I bet Britney was shocked and taken back by it also......so when the show started ending they kept leaving (what we thought was an exit) but then they just kept coming back and doing songs.

I loved the concert so much and it seemed like one of the best nights of my life. Truly in awe of those boys, they are excellent at what they do and I hope that they continue to do so, if thats what makes them truly happy, because they DO deserve it.
