A Pizza, a Party, and a Moonlight Ride

~Author Unknown

Jenny was so happy about the house they had found.
For once in her life 'twas on the right side of town.
She unpacked her things with such great ease.
As she watched her new curtains blow in the breeze.

How wonderful it was to have her own room.
School would be starting, she'd have friends over soon.
There'd be sleep-overs, and parties; she was so happy
It's just the way she wanted her life to be.

On the first day of school, everything went great.
She made new friends and even got a date!
She thought, "I want to be popular and I'm going to be,
Because I just got a date with the star of the team!"

To be known in this school you had to have a clout,
And dating this guy would sure help her out.
There was only one problem stopping her fate.
Her parents had said she was too young to date.

"Well, I just won't tell them the entire truth.
They won't know the difference; what's there to lose?"
Jenny asked to stay with her friends that night.
Her parents frowned but said, "All right."

Excited, she got ready for the big event
But as she rushed around like she had no sense,
She began to feel guilty about all the lies,
But what's a pizza, a party, and a moonlight ride?

Well the pizza was good, and the party was great,
But the moonlight ride would have to wait.
For Jeff was half drunk by this time.
But he kissed her and said that he was just fine.

Then the room filled with smoke and Jeff took a puff.
Jenny couldn't believe he was smoking that stuff.
Now Jeff was ready to ride to the point
But only after he'd smoked another joint.

They jumped in the car for the moonlight ride,
Not thinking that he was too drunk to drive.
They finally made it to the point at last,
And Jeff started trying to make a pass.

A pass is not what Jenny wanted at all
(and by a pass, I dont mean playing football).
"Perhaps my parents were right....maybe I am too young.
Boy, how could I ever, ever be so dumb."

With all of her might, she pushed Jeff away:
"Please take me home, I dont want to stay."
Jeff cranked up the engine and floored the gas.
In a matter of seconds they were going too fast.

As Jeff drove on in a fit of wild anger,
Jenny knew that her life was in danger.
She begged and pleaded for him to slow down,
But he just got faster as they neared the town.

"Just let me get home! I'll confess that I lied.
I really went out for a moonlight ride."
Then all of a sudden, she saw a big flash.
"Oh God, Please help us! We're going to crash!"

She doesn't remember the force of impact.
Just that everything all of a sudden went black.
She felt someone remove her from the twisted rubble,
And heard, "Call an ambulance! These kids are in trouble!"

Voices she heard...a few words at best.
But she knew there were two cars involved in the wreck.
Then wondered to herself if Jeff was all right,
And if the people in the other car were alive.

She awoke in the hospital to faces so sad.
"You've been in a wreck and it looks pretty bad."
These voices echoed inside her head,
As they gently told her that Jeff was dead.

They said "Jenny, we've done all we can do.
But it looks as if we'll lose you too."
"But the people in the other car!?" Jenny cried.
"We're sorry, Jenny, they also died."

Jenny prayed, "God, forgive me for what I've done
I only wanted to have just one night of fun."
"Tell those people's family, I've made their lives dim,
And wish I could return their families to them."

"Tell Mom and Dad I'm sorry I lied,
And that it's my fault so many have died.
Oh, nurse, won't you please tell them that for me?"
The nurse just stood there ~ she never agreed.

But took Jenny's hand with tears in her eyes
And a few moments later Jenny died.
A man asked the nurse, "Why didn't you do your best
To bid that girl her one last request?"

She looked at the man with eyes oh so sad.
"Because the people in the other car were her mom and dad."
This story is sad and unpleasant but true,
So young people take heed, it could have been you.

A Girl

She knows not what she means to me,
The words that I hear, the sight that I see,
The loving smile presiding on her face,
Her presence here on Earth is utter grace.

The glitter and sparkle deep in her eyes,
The gentleness in the way she cries,
Her loving eyes, her soft, light hair,
I cannot wait to be with her there.

A brave heart, a brave new chance,
I love her more with each new glance.
As I gaze lovingly into her eyes,
I see why I couldn't miss this spectacular surprise.

The love she has for me, I know
Is out in view to all for show.
The love I have for her she knows too,
Will last a lifetime, through and through.

The light her presence casts is little more than splendor,
For it is only to me she shows her heart is tender.
The endurance she has in life is showing.
These things she possesses make her personality glowing.

This girl that I have made known unto you
Is soft and tender with a heart that is true.
Her life, I feel, will be quite a success
And will bring a smile to the lucky man's face
That can experience her happiness.

Joy

Joy is a gift that comes after pain.
It shines like a rainbow right after the rain.

You may not have it now, but just wait 'till the day
When the rain suddenly stops and the clouds fly away.

Then all of the hurt that you suffered in the past
Will be just a memory, cause you'll be free at last.

And you'll expereince the feeling of an overwhelming peace
Swarming around you as your fears are released.

It doesn't matter how long it's taken.
If you have faith in God, you'll never be shaken.

So when clouds come again, you'll be hard to destroy,
Cause you've been fully blessed with an everlasting joy.

How Much I Love You

You ask me how much I love you,
But this I can not explain.
But if i had to put it in words,
I'd say it's sort of like the rain

It purs from my heart and soul,
And over your thirsty lips.
I want to swallow it all,
But you take polite little sips.

You ask me how much I love you,
But I can't help you there.
But if I had to put it in words,
I'd say it's sort of like the air.

You can't see it, or touch it, or hold it,
It's just out of your grasp.
I want you to inhale it all,
But you take tiny little gasps.

You ask me how much I love you,
But the thoughtd don't come out right.
But if I had to put it in words,
I'd say it's sort of like light.

It glows with serene passion,
Growing stronger every day.
Look no! See it's true brightness,
Don't shield your eyes away.

You ask me how much I love you,
I hope you know by now.
But if you still need me to tell you,
I'm afraid I don't know how.

Just know you are my heart,
My soul, my love, my flame.
I'll be with you now and always,
I only hope you feel the same.

Untitled

I said I had to talk to you
Because I really needed to know:
If you really loved me,
Or if you were to hurt me so.

At that time I found out,
And when I did--I cried!
You looked at me and began to shout
...I felt I could have died.

You wonder why I love you so...
I guess I can't explain.
My love for you just grows and grows
Each time I hear your name!

And now I think of the times we had
When we were both together...
And ahh, right now I feel so bad,
--Hoping it's last forever!!

Always Say I Love You

Brittney loved basketball
Friends and parties too
And when it came to painting
That's all she wanted to do
She painted everything she saw
Birds, flowers, the sky
Somedays she sat at her window
And painted everything that passed her by
But lately she'd been feeling woozy
Her muscles ached a lot
And her parents got kind of worried
So they took her to the doc
The doctor took a couple of tests
To see if everything was ok
Then the nurse came out with a look of sadness
And this is what she had to say;
"I'm sorry but you've got leukemia,"
"You've got about 3 months more."
Then Brittney got up and ran out of the room
And slammed the office door
She ran down the street screaming
And cried her eyes out dry
And stayed up all night
Wondering what it's like to die
Her parents held her tightly
And said, "We love you,"
"We'll make your last few months the greatest,"
"We'll do anything for you."
So Brittney and her parents moved to Florida
To live by the sea
Because Brittney loved the ocean
And when she dies, that's where she wanted to be
She spent her days painting
And horseback riding in by the bay
But one day she met this guy
And his name was Jay
They collected seashells together
And talked about all kinds of things
And then one day while walking
He handed her a ring
It said that, "I love you,"
Which brought tears to Brittney's eyes
And when he put it on her finger
She began to cry
"I've got leukemia, and about a month more."
Then Jay said, " No matter what, I love you,"
"And no matter what, you are the one I adore."
So they spent everyday together
And swam in the Atlantic all day
But Brittney was getting weaker
And it was hard for her stay awake
So one day Brittney painted her picture
And gave it to Jay
She said, "I want you to remember me,"
"Even when I leave this place."
But one day while they were walking
And searching for seashells in the sand
Brittney collapsed and started to lose her breath
And said to Jay, "Please hold my hand."

"I love you more then anyone,"
"You are my only true love,"
"But now my time is up,"
"And I'll watch over you from above,"
Then Brittney's body was lifeless
As she lay in Jay's arms
And he sat there all day
And kept her safe from harm
I hope this teaches you a lesson
To tell someone you love them whenever you can
Because maybe they'll be gone tomorrow
And you wont be there to hold their hand
Because love is everything to everybody
Without it, the world would be dead
So always tell someone you love them
A parent, a lover, a friend

"Did you ever love somebody, and know he didn't love you?
Did you ever feel like crying, but what good would it do?
Did you ever look into his eyes and say a little prayer?
Did you ever see inside his heart and wish that you were there?
Did you ever see him thinking when the lights were turned down low?
Did you ever say, "I love you", but didn't let him know?
Please don't fall in love, my friend. You'll find it doesn't pay.
Although it causes broken hearts, it happens every day.
Now, you see, my friend, you lost him! There's nothing you can do.
Now he's gone. What went wrong? He played you for a fool.
Remember how he left you standing, with teardrops in your eyes?
And how you watched him walk away, before you said goodbye?
You see, my friend, love is fine and you'll find the price is high.
And if I could choose between life and death, I think I'd rather die.
So, please don't fall in love my friend. You'll get hurt before it's through.
You see, my friend, I should know, because I fell in love with you."

Class Ring

Close by the door he passed to stand
as he took the class ring off her hand
all who were watching didn't dare speak
as a silent tear ran down his cheek
all through his mind, memories ran
of the times they laughed and walked
hand in hand
but now her eyes looked very cold
never have her again, never to hold
all were silent as he bent down near
to whisper "I love you" in her ear
in touching her face, he started to cry
he put on his "class ring" and wanted to die
and just as the wind began to blow,
they lowered her casket into the snow.

A Lover's Dream

~Author Unknown

As I sit and stare at the shimmering moon,
I also sit here and hope to see you soon.
Then I realized I won't be able to see you tomorrow,
so I would sit here and cry in sorrow.
Now I only uphold a dream which I hope come true
and that one dream is to be with you.

~Author Unknown

If I could take all your troubles
I would toss them in the Sea,
But all these things I'm finding,
Are impossible for me
I cannot build a mountain,
Or catch a Rainbow fair
but let me be what I know best,
A friend that is always there!

A Forever Friend

~PINAY4Ubeb writes:

Sometimes in life,
you find a special friend;
Someone who changes your life
just by being part of it.

Someone who makes you laugh
until you can't stop;
Someone who makes you believe
that there really is good in the world.
Someone who convinces you
that there really is an unlocked door
just waiting for you to open it.
This is Forever Friendship.

When you're down,
and the world seems dark and empty,
Your forever friend lifts you up in spirit
and makes that dark and empty world
suddenly seem bright and full.

Your forever friend gets you through
the hard times, the sad times,
and the confused times.
If you turn and walk away,
your forever friend follows.
If you lose your way,
your forever friend guides you
and cheers you on.

Your forever friend holds your hand
and tells you that
everything is going to be okay.
And if you find such a friend,
you feel happy and complete,
because you need not worry.
You have a forever friend for life,
and forever has no end.

What Is Love?

Are your palms sweaty, is your heart racing?
And your voice caught within your chest?
It isn't love, it's like.
You can't keep your eyes or hands off of them, am I right?
It isn't love, it's lust.
Are you proud, and eager to show them off?
It isn't love, it's luck.
Do you want them because you know they're there?
It isn't love, it's loneliness.
Are you there because it's what everyone wants?
It isn't love, it's loyalty.
Does your heart ache and break when they're sad?
Then it's love.
Do you cry for their pain, even when they're strong?
Then it's love.
Do their eyes see your true heart, and touch your soul so deeply it hurts?
Then it's love.
Do you stay for their confessions of love, because you don't want to hurt them?
It isn't love, it's pity.
Are you there because they kissed you, or held your hand?
It isn't love, it's unconfidence.
Do you belong to them because their sight makes your heart skip a beat?
It isn't love, it's infatuation.
But do you stay because a blinding, incomprehensible mix of pain and elation pulls you close and holds you?
Then it's love.
Do you pardon their faults because you care about them?
It isn't love, it's friendship.
Do you accept their faults because they're a part of who they are?
Then it's love.
Do you tell them every day they are the only one you think of?
It isn't love, it's a lie.
Are you attracted to others, but stay with them faithfully without regret?
Then it's love.
Are you willing to live all of your favorite things for their sake?
It isn't love, it's charity.
Would you give them your heart, your life, your death?
Then it's love.
Now, if love is painful, and tortures us so, why do we love?
Why is it all we search for in life?
This pain, this agony?
Why is it all we long for?
This torture, this powerful death of self?
Why?
Because it's love.

Missing You

~Ananomous!

I think of you everyday
it makes me so blue.
When I see a smile on your face
I miss talking to you.

You say mean things to me
and treat me like dirt.
To hear mean things from someone I care
it really hurt.

But you don't know how I feel
like a part of me had died.
And if you knew you'd never care
how much it hurt inside.

You didn't even apologize
for the things that you did wrong.
I always thought I was your friend
for I don't know how long.

Although you get on my nerves
it seems like everyday.
No matter what bad things you do
I like you anyway.

we had not talked for two weeks
and yet it seems like years.
When I think about me losing you
is one of my greatest fears.

But I can't give in
because I don't want to be treated bad.
But I miss you very much
it makes me so sad.

The more I think about it.
The more I want to cry.
Because without you in my life
the days would just drag by.
