"Beep,Beep,Beep.." went 14 year old Krissa Nicholes' alarm clock as she
rubbed her eyes she noticed it was 8:15 a.m. "Oh no only 4 more hours until
the Hanson concert at the mall!",she told herself. Krissa jumped out of
bed and hobbled over to her closet and quickly pulled out something to
wear and then walked into the bathroom. She went in and took a shower,
brushed her teeth and her auburn hair, and made herself look presentable.
Krissa then walked downstairs in her favorite green Adidas shirt, jean
cutoffs, and her hair pulled back in a clip. "Morning mom,morning dad!",
she said to her parents as she sat down to eat the pancakes her mom had
prepared. "So where you off to today,I mean you got up before noon so
there oughta be something special going on?",her dad Kyle asked. Krissa
looked at him and said sarcastically, "that's soo funny dad!" Krissa's
12 year old brother Matti came downstairs followed by her 7 year old siste
Julie(called Gwen). Matti walked past everyone and plopped himself in front
of the t.v. to watch The Anamaniacs. Gwen walked over to the kitchen table
in her No Doubt T-shirt that went down to her knees and sat next to Krissa.
"Hey, do you think Gwen Stefani likes pancakes? If she doesn't than I don't
either." the little Gwen wannabe asked "I'm sure she does sweetie now eat
up before the pancakes get cold." ,her mom Penny told her. Gwen studied the
pancakes then ate them up hungrily.
"Mom, I'm going to call Lia to try to convince her to come to the Hanson concert with me today, or else Cloe is coming..and the last thing I need is a 16 year old girl complaining about how she failed her driver's test and her twin brother passed. So could you take us to the mall to go to the concert?",Krissa asked Penny "That's fine, just call me to pick you two up before 6 because we're having an early dinner.",Penny told Krissa. Krissa got up from her chair and walked over to the phone to call Lia,it was already 9:20 so there was no doubt Lia would be up doing something. The phone rang twice at Lia's house before she picked it up knowing it would be her friend trying to convince her to see that girl group Hanson at the mall. "Hi Lia! Good morning!",Krissa said "Hey Kris what's up? If this call has to do anything with the Hanson girls I'm not getting involved," ,Lia told Krissa "They're not girls,they're guys with long hair and they're ROCK!",Krissa said loudly to Lia "Same thing..",Lia muttered into the phone "Then I guess Gavin Rossdale is a girl too, and Daniel Johns, and Kurt Cobain..and my older brother I mean SISTER and..",Krissa said until her friend interrupted, "Okay,okay already you've made your point. Now why exactly did you call?" "Well..I was wondering if you'd PLLLEEAASSEE go to Hanson concert with me. I'll be your best friend?",Krissa begged "Um, Krissa we're already best friends.", Lia reminded her "Oh yea forgot, well since you are my best friend will you PLEASE come with me, my mom will take us, you only have to stay for 2 hours, if you don't go then I'm stuck with Cloe...Please Lia?",Krissa pleaded "2 hours is long enough but I'd feel really bad if you had to go with Cloe..fine I'll go but you owe me BIG!!",Lia told Krissa "YYYEEESSSS!!!",Krissa screamed as she jumped in the air, "Thanks Lia you'll never regret this, I promise!" "I hope I don't..see ya at 11 because we should get there early..Bye!",Lia said as she hung-up the phone. Krissa told her parents the good news as her twin older siblings came downstairs awakened by Krissa's loud voice.
Krissa excitingly ran up to her room and jumped on to her bed. There she gazed at all the Hanson pictures and poster she had torn out of magazines and thought to herself 'Finally I'll get to see Zac,Taylor and Isaac in concert for real this day is going to be sooo kewl!'. Krissa drifted into a light slumber not knowing what the day had in store for her.
