We had breakfast with the Butts family - Jim, Shari, their daughter, Marie, who is 9, and Ruth Gardner. We met up with Christina and did some sightseeing: We went to Tiananmen Square and then to the Forbidden City.
 While at the Square, there was a little boy with his hair cut differently...
with the different haircut  Christina asked the boy's mother and she said it is a right of passage when a boy turns 5 to wear his hair this way. It was 90 degrees and very humid. We then went to the Hutong (old section) of Beijing and rode in a pedicab stopping in different places. It was kind of exciting because of almost being hit by a car and bus!
