Follow our Blog for China Updates, too!

Well, we are still here!!! LOL. We just can't wait to get home at this point.

Here is our latest update:

Yesterday, several people took a trip to the orphanage in HengFeng. Guy and I decided that it was better for just him to go and for Elizabeth and I to stay at the hotel. We didn't want her to get upset seeing everything again.

You will see from the pictures, it is very sad. I had tears in my eyes when Guy was telling me how sad the babies looked and how crowded and old everything was.

Guy went to the steps of the Civil Affairs office there, and took a picture of the location where Elizabeth was found.

They then had lunch with the Director of the Orphanage who gave them his email and asked that we send updated pictures of our babies. They were gone most of the day and got back to the hotel around 4:30 p.m.

Our group then went across the street to an authentic Chinese restaurant. The food was good, but it was like being a zoo exhibit. We sat near a big window and many, many locals just kept looking in at the Americans with Chinese babies.

Curious Locals

The restaurant staff gave each baby steamed eggs, which they seemed to enjoy. Miss Elizabeth decided to throw a glass on the floor....which smashed into a million pieces! She does enjoy her food, though. She had noodles, spicy beef and some unidentifiable soup....oh, and corn. I will let you image what her diaper was like this morning!

We are getting into our routine now. She gets up in the morning and has some rice cereal and a small bottle. Then we go down to breakfast and she has eggs, noodles and watermelon. Playtime, then a bottle and nap for about 2 hours. We have lunch, playtime and another bottle. When she wakes up she likes a snack like Cheerios and some water. Then dinner! Like I said, she loves to eat!!!

She is also lavababy! She sweats a lot...just like Mommy!

More tomorrow!

Love,
Cathy, Guy & Elizabeth
