Today was a great day. Our guide went to the American Consulate to submit our paperwork to get Elizabeth's visa to come to America.

At 11:00 a.m., we took a cab over to Shamian Island to shop. And boy did we shop! We got two pairs of squeaky shoes for Elizabeth (when she finally walks, every step gives a little squeak!); a beautiful Chinese outfit for her and two really cute outfits! We then walked for about two hours through Shamian Island just shopping and enjoying the absolutely beautiful day!

We were walking with some friends when I heard my name called out....I turned around and it was Kelley and Chuck with Mia!!! I was so surprised! We had lunch at Lucy's with them and Melissa & Bernie Hietbrink. I have to tell you it was the nicest day we had. Just sitting at the outside cafe enjoying good food, good company and the beautiful day!

After lunch, we shopped some more for some gifts, then headed back to our hotel. Miss Elizabeth was tired and we wanted her to have her nap!

Tomorrow is our last full day in China! We can't believe it. I hope to be able to make a last post tomorrow, but we will be packing....enjoy the pictures.
