Orion’s dream continued as he walked up the steps to Mount Olympus. He saw visions that dated back to the day he was first reborn. He had never seen Zeus, but merely heard his voice in his dreams. Unsure of what fate held for him next, Orion nervously continued to tread up the silver stairs. Every thing he had faced up to this point was nothing compared to the fear he faced now. “Although Zeus has always been on my side, I fear him more than any villain I’ve faced.” Then the silver steps turned to gold as he made it to the mighty gates that led to the throne of Zeus. As the gates opened for him, Orion entered a golden vortex.
When he made it to the other side, he was back at the Centaur Forest. However, it was all an illusion as he saw the events that occurred in his first and only days at the forest; he then traveled through the recent present. When all the illusions ended, the white fog cleared and Orion faced the almighty ruler himself.
“Oh my gosh,” he bowed quickly, “My Lord.” Zeus was like a giant, tall with ivory white hair and a long beard of the same color running down to his waist. “Arise my son. Please forgive me for everything I put you through. I’ve made so many mistakes that I wanted you to have a destiny that fits you better than all the others before you.”
“Wait, other warriors tried to defeat Dragoonas?”
“Yes, those who were merpeople in the ancient past were sent to the ruins, all of which have failed. Walk with me.” Orion and Zeus walked through his own version of the archives, but they were all video clips of the past merman warriors. Many of them looked like boys around Orion’s age, but all of them had one thing in common; Misty rescued every single one of them with the Mermaid’s Kiss. ‘At least I wasn’t the only one,’ he thought to himself, even though he knew Zeus could probably read his mind.
“I then realized that you were perfect since your spirit had not only purity, but hidden wisdom that allowed you to triumph over the dark dragon you call Dragoonas.”
“Seems like I was the only one to call him that.”
“Who better to address those legendary dragons directly?” He placed a mighty hand on Orion’s shoulder, “However, the end of the legend has not yet come to pass. You must return to your place of origin to seal your fate and there, your spirit will rest for all eternity once that prophecy is fulfilled. There is only one catch; you must remain with your soul mate until either of you is to be put to rest.”
“But how do I…”
“Don’t worry; your guardian goddesses have explained everything to Penelope as they have infiltrated her dreams.” Zeus was starting to return to his throne when Orion called out to him, “Wait, where is my place of origin?”
“You will take your rightful place at the throne of the lost city, but not until you are of age.”
“Atlantis?”
“Yes, farewell Orion. Until we meet again.” Orion felt his feet sinking through the clouds below him as he fell from the sky and his soul fell back into his body at the hospital.
