WELCOME TO THE HYPERMEDIA TUTORIAL!

Hypermedia refers to the capability to link between pieces of digital information (hyperlinks) and to access or display various forms of media, such as pictures, animation, audio or video (multimedia). The dynamic possibilities of web pages have long appealed to educators and the growth of online instruction predicts an expanding use of hypermedia courseware and support materials.

This tutorial will introduce the major concepts of hypermedia as it is used in instruction, along with some practical methods to put it to use in your projects.

The tutorial itself is intended to illustrate the concepts and non-linear instructional design with hypermedia. However, to get oriented, please begin with the How to Use This Course section, then the Introduction Unit to help you navigate. Additionally links to all the site resources and lessons are at left and links to sections are at the top.
