"Mom, Chris will be back tomorrow. He put his house on the market and just wants to make everything finalized. Guess what?" Latoya beamed into the phone while cleaning out her kitchen cupboard. She didn't know why but she had the sudden urge to clean. She's been up since four o'clock in the morning, cleaning and dusting and washing baby clothes.
"What?"
"He told me he loved me," Latoya happily sighed. "And I love him too. I told him that. We were watching TV last night and he told me he was in love with me. And I'm just so damn happy, Mommy."
"Well it's obvious that you two love each other. It's just something you see between two people like Joshua and Justin."
"I'd prefer to be Josh. He's the rational one of the two. I wouldn't want to be cursed as Justin Timberlake. He's a pain in the ass." She lined up all of the old boxes of cereal, cursing Justin for making her buy so much.
"Stop it," her mother chastised. "Besides both of you can be pains in the asses. I speak from experience."
Latoya stuck her tongue, glad that her mother didn't see her.
"Stop sticking your tongue out."
"How do you do that?"
"It's called being a Mom. You'll get your chance real soon to test that out."
"I hope I have the babies on my birthday. Then it'd be like a nice birthday gift."
"I don't think you're going to wait so long until the 23rd. That is why I wish that someone were there with you right now. You can have these babies any day now."
"Mommy stop worrying. Nothing's going to happen. I have finally finished going through all those baby shower gifts," she chuckled. "And it only took me two days. Of course, Justin and Chris were having some sort of sick fun tearing the wrapping paper but that's another story."
"Why don't you go over to Joshua and Justin's? Please, do it Latoya. I just have this feeling that you're not supposed to be alone."
"Nothing's going to happen. I'm fine here. Besides, I think Justin wants to hang me or something. I sort of have a knack of interrupting their 'we' time. They said that they'll come by later anyway. Those two don't like me alone either. You guys act like I'm going to trip again."
"What time? It's almost twelve now."
"I don't know. Later probably sometime in the afternoon," she shrugged and threw away some expired food. "You should head to work Mommy. I'm going to go back to cleaning."
"Fine. But call me if anything happens okay. Anything," she stressed. "And don't do anything too strenuous, baby. I love you. I'm calling you during my break, you know that right?"
"I love you too. And yes I know you'll call. And I'm not five; I know to call if there's an emergency. Bye Mom." The two hung up and Latoya resumed her cleaning with a few twinges from the babies.
After an hour of rearranging the food and getting rid of the old food, she decided it was time for a break. She was going to stick to her plan and leave the couple alone. She would have been pissed as hell if she were Justin. Then she laughed because he was mad. She waddled to the fridge and held her heavy belly along the way. "Damn, you kids need to go on a diet. You're weighing me down here," she muttered. "I'm thirsty." And just as she reached for the apple juice container, she felt a more powerful twinge. "Well shit. Don't tell me I'm contracting."
She put the container on the counter next to the fridge and placed a hand on her lower back, which painfully began to flare up more than usual. She closed her eyes and began to count to ten and breathe like how they taught her in class. When she felt like she could open her eyes, she started to move toward the phone, which she placed too damn far. She moved at a snail's pace afraid that any sudden movements would make that wicked pain come back. She was almost there and her water broke and began to trickle down her leg.
"Fuck. I'm not ready yet," she moaned and grabbed the phone. She dialed her mother first but kept getting the voice mail. She leaned against the counter heavily and then dialed Justin's house but she kept getting a busy signal. Latoya cursed her luck and tried both of the men's cell phones but was met with voice mail as well. She contemplated calling Lynn but she just flew back to Memphis so she couldn't come that soon. She dialed Chris. Hopefully he would pick up the phone, she needed to just hear someone's voice because she was beginning to panic but it seemed that Chris was away from his cell as well.
Latoya began to cry, nervous and scared and very close to panicking big time. She felt that twinge again and knew another contraction was on its way. She gripped the edge of the counter, preparing for the worst. After the pain subsided, Latoya stopped tearing up and had a maniacal gleam in her brown eyes. She grabbed her car keys and decided to drive over to the Timberlakes. It was a ten-minute drive. She could do it.

"You're making Saturday my favorite day, baby," the long-haired man groaned as he lay on top of the blonde man. It looked like today would be a marathon of making love. "Are you okay? Can you feel your toes?" Latoya asked.
"Yeah," Justin said as he leaned against the bottom stair. He flexed his extremities for her to see.
"Good. Could you kindly close you legs? I don't want an anatomy class today."
"Bitch," he snarled and opened his legs wider for good measure.
"Bigger bitch," she retorted. "My fucking water broke and I called you assholes and your phone was busy." She pouted angrily and glared at the men.
"Must have knocked the phone over when we, um, when we," JC blushed and looked to the ground. He didn't know if it was appropriate to talk about such things with his children possibly close to making their debut in the world. It would not make a very good first impression.
"Fucked!" Latoya belted out as she felt another wave of pain starting again. "Here's another one goddamn it!" she was talking about the contraction. "You guys fucked!!"
Justin put on his boxers and stood up. "I prefer making love. Here let me help you." He held his hands out.
"Don't touch me. Wash your hands first. Lord knows where they have been," she grumbled and began to rock as the contraction gripped her body.
"Snappish isn't she?" JC commented. "But she has a point." The two men made their way into the kitchen.

"See, aren't we more comfortable?" Justin chirped from his stance by Latoya's hospital bed. The men made a mad dash to the hospital. She had been admitted. She was definitely in labor. JC left after spending three hours to get Latoya's packed bag from her house and to take care of any loose ends they forgot about in their hurry to the hospital. They had talked to their parents but couldn't get a hold of Chris still.

"I was right before you came," Justin winked.
"Leave."
"I know you don't mean it. It's just the pain talking, baby."
"Fuck you, you fucking bitch!!"
"Latoya," Maureen called out to her daughter as she stepped into the private room. "I know I raised you better than that. Apologize." Maureen wasn't just any kind of nurse. She was an obstetric nurse so she was going to attend her grandchildren's delivery, working alongside Dr. Jones.
"I want JC. He's nicer." Latoya refused to apologize.
"Well he went to get your bag and stuff, so you just have to deal with me. He's a lucky man," Justin acknowledged.
"Mommy, make him stop please." Her mother checked her vital stats and the heart monitor. All was good. She looked down at her frustrated daughter and smoothed her hair back.
"You have to admit. I'm taking your mind off the pain. You're focusing on me."
"Oh yes I am. I'm focusing on ways to make you scream in pain," she glared. "I've been in here for four hours alone with you. And that's four hours too long. I know you're skinny ass husband is hiding out!" She was ready to add more to her tirade but a contraction cut her off.
"I hate that it's hurting her so much. But I'm kinda glad that it shuts her up for a minute or two," Justin told Latoya's mother.
"I was a hell raiser when I was in labor. I don't expect Latoya to be any less," she quipped. "How about I check to see how much she dilated. Maybe we can give her an epidural and take some of that edge off of her, huh?"
Justin damn near kissed the nurse. "Maureen, I'd marry you right now on the spot if you could do that."
Maureen checked her daughter and felt what she needed to feel. "No need Justin. But you can be happy now. I'm gonna get the anesthesiologist now. Hopefully smooth sailing ahead. I can't stand to see my children in pain. I wish I could just take it all for you, honey," Maureen told her daughter who was catching her breath.
"No one should feel this," she cried out warily. "Now please get the meds."
Maureen kissed her daughter's sweaty forehead, patted Justin on the back and left the room.
"Justin?" Latoya asked, her voice taking a milder tone.
Justin looked down at her, wondering what her next attack will be. "What?"
"I don't think I'll be doing this again," she shook her head furiously. "I knew it was going to hurt but not like this."
Justin placed his forehead against hers and stared into her eyes, "Think about the reward at the end."
"I don't think I'll make it to the end," she tightly smiled and then felt the next wave of pain beginning again. "Motherfucker," she cried out. She grabbed the railing at the edge of the bed.
Justin quickly backed away from her. Latoya tended to grab things when she was having a contraction and he did not want it to be any part of his body. "Where in the hell is Josh?" Justin didn't think he could take another hour of this alone.
The door suddenly opened. In walked the anesthesiologist along with Maureen. "And where's the patient?" the man with the rather large needle asked.
"If you had came an hour later, it would have been me," Justin joked. "Thank God you are here. Please do what you have to do. Hell I'll help you."
"Well we have to turn her over and have her back present. So if you would like to help us turn her over," the doctor smiled kindly. The doctor and Justin got Latoya on her stomach. Justin and Maureen held her hand during the needle insertion.
"It's a good thing JC isn't here. He'd be drooling on linoleum," Justin joked, trying to get his best friend's mind off the procedure.
"He would fall to the floor from the sight of the needle. Maybe that's why he's MIA," Latoya retorted and winced when she felt the needle go in.
"Are you two making jokes about my Joshua?" Maureen joined in.
"Yes," the other two said in unison.
"All done, Latoya. Should feel the effects pretty soon. Maybe catch a few Z's since you have been in labor for a while."
"For a too long while," Latoya pouted as the doctor and Justin helped her onto her back. "Thank you so much." The doctor smiled and left the room.
"Now you won't put all of that stress on the babies," Maureen smiled. "Joshua called me. He's been waiting at the airport. Seems that your parents and his parents are coming here. There's another woman having a baby today. I hope she won't deliver the same time as you. I'll be back soon." Maureen left quietly.
"So that's what is taking JC so long," Justin thought out loud. Latoya didn't answer back. She kept her eyes closed. Hopefully she could take just a little nap. She was worn out. Justin began to sing softly to calm both of their nerves. Just as Latoya was beginning her trip into dreamland, the door opened.
"Baby," the dark haired man called out to his love.
"Chris, you're here. How'd you know where to find me? No one could get in touch with you."
"I was coming a day earlier to surprise you but blame two delays and an uncharged phone. I have been calling your house. I was freaking out. Got cursed out by this little old lady. Can you believe she threatened to annihilate me with her purse? It was the biggest thing I've ever seen. But anyway thirty quarters later, I finally remembered to call JC. I was fucking this close to having a heart attack, let me tell ya. He was just two terminals down. He was waiting for your mom and Paul. Said to send his love." Justin blushed. "He told me your water broke and I took two cabs to get here. I swear you are just bound to give me gray hairs. Sorry I wasn't here baby." Chris kissed her and rubbed her tummy.
"It would figure your ass would show up now after she had an epidural," Justin playfully chastised. He was glad that he wasn't alone.
"Can't bear to see my lady in pain." Chris hugged his friend in gratefulness." So how are you feeling?"
"Now a hell of a lot better. Before I guess I was a little grumpy." She smirked.
"A little? Get the fuck out of here! I've had to bear the brunt of her rampage!"
The door opened again and JC walked through the door in full scrub attire. He was covered in head to toe in green uniform including his head and feet.
"Oh shit C!!!" Chris held his stomach as he fell to the floor laughing. Justin held his stomach as well as he took in his husband's getup.
Latoya sat in shock. "JC. Honey, why are you wearing that? We aren't operating."
"You mean I don't have to wear a uniform? Stop laughing at me," he frowned.
"Please take that off. You look like a dork." Chris laughed from the floor.
"These two can't appreciate me," JC talked directly to the woman, ignoring the other men.
"I know Josh. I missed you. Justin was being the biggest pain in the ass." Latoya pouted from her perch on the bed.
"I'm sorry I left you alone with him for so long, darling. I had to wait for Mom and Dad at the airport and since Lynn was going to come an hour later, I figured why not wait. But their flight was a bit delayed. But we made it," he finished.
"They are all here?"
JC nodded. "They are outside talking to your mother who, by the way, has helped delivered some lady's baby. It was the ugliest thing I've ever seen."
"Don't say that. You might curse our children," Latoya reprimanded.
"Hopefully they won't have his fashion sense," Chris added. He and Justin started to laugh all over again.
"I'm going to change," JC said huffily and left the room. Latoya couldn't help but giggle some as well and then closed her eyes for some much needed sleep.

"It's been a little over two hours since we last checked on you honey. Let's see how far along you are," Dr. Jones smiled at her favorite patient. The doctor has been spending time with Latoya's rather large family. Chris and the others waiting in the nearby waiting room. She checked her and smiled. "Looks like you're ready to have those babies."
Maureen squealed. She couldn't help it. But neither could JC. "My baby's having babies," her mother felt tears prick her eyes. And then she prepped the doctor. She hurriedly ran through the door another nurse just opened to tell the concerned bunch that it was time. And then quickly got inside to help.
"Now when I tell you to go, you push okay Latoya? We'll count to ten while you push and then you stop for ten and do it again alright?" The doctor instructed her.
"Okay," she said. She was a little afraid but her best friends were by her side. Justin and JC held onto each of Latoya's legs, prepping her for delivery.
"Go! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. And stop." The doctor ordered.
Justin counted to ten in Latoya's ear during her stop period.
"Again 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. And stop." The doctor held the baby's head and knew she needed just one more push from her.
"Um Justin," JC whispered loudly.
Justin quickly said through his counting to Latoya. "I'm counting, honey and ten."
"Go," said Dr. Jones. During the next push, the baby fell into her hands and she suctioned out the mucus out of the infant's passageway. "You have a daughter, Latoya. You three have a girl. Who would like to cut the umbilical cord?"
"A girl," Latoya was misty eyed. She was a real mommy. She had a daughter. And one more baby to go. "Ava. Her name is Ava." Latoya couldn't peel her eyes off of her first child.
"Oh Ava!" Maureen cried out. She couldn't stop the tears from running down her eyes. The baby looked like Latoya when she was just born with all that dark hair on her head.
"Great a little princess," JC said. He was a little green. "You see that's the problem."
"We have a daughter! And she's so beautiful! Aw, Ava baby you are so precious." Justin peeked to make sure she had ten toes and ten fingers, which she did. And a great set of lungs because once her mouth was cleared she bawled her head off. "What's the problem?" The squalling child was handed to Maureen to clean off.
"I think I'm getting light headed," JC warned. JC let go of the woman's foot and fell to the ground.
"JC, you can't faint at a time like this!" Justin called out. He couldn't believe his husband some times.
"Don't worry I'll get to him," another nurse ran to help JC up. JC opened his eyes and looked up to the scene in front of him and nearly went under again. "No. No. How about we bring you outside for some air, sir?" JC nodded his consent and with the nurse's help, made it to the hallway where their anxious family was waiting. They looked at him hoping for an answer.
"It's a girl. We have an Ava," he replied as he sat down next to them. Lynn and Karen were jumping up in the air, talking a mile a minute. Chris looked in awe.
Roy scooted next to his son, "You okay, son?"
"I fainted Dad. After I saw the cord, I saw black," JC frowned. Paul patted the younger man's back.
"I'm surprised you lasted so long. I was usually out once they said Mr. Chasez, it's time."
Back inside the delivery room, Latoya began to contract again, signaling baby two's arrival. She had her legs in stirrups, still in awe of her daughter.
Justin went to cut his daughter's cord and tried to memorize every little bit of her. She was so perfect and he couldn't recall every seeing a more beautiful child. From her little pink nose to her beautiful blue eyes and right down to her tiny toes, Ava was definitely a keeper. He knew the sonogram pictures weren't wrong. "My Ava," he whispered to the now quiet child. Maureen, who kept blowing kisses at the child, was wrapping her in a blanket. "Your other Daddy is a bit squeamish to this baby stuff, so we'll have to forgive him," he winked. "Maureen, do you think I'll have time to check and see if Josh is okay?"
"Sure. But if you want to be here for the other baby's arrival, don't take too long," she smiled. She turned with the baby in her hands, ready to hand Ava over for Latoya's perusal.
Justin grinned and quickly kissed Latoya's cheek. "Thank you," he whispered and ran out of the room. "JC? Where are you?" Justin ran to the waiting room and saw his husband sitting next to his father.
"How's Ava?" Lynn asked.
"Is Latoya alright?" Chris asked.
"Did she have the other baby?" Karen asked.
"She's fine. She's so beautiful. Has these eyes that are remarkable and she's perfect. Has everything that's supposed to be there. And no the other baby hasn't made it's debut yet. JC baby are you okay?" Justin turned to the quiet man.
"I'm sorry I passed out there. It seems to run in the family though," JC added as consolation.
"It's okay. I kinda miss you in there. But I don't want you passing out on me again," Justin hugged his lover. "Did you see her? Wasn't she darling? God we are going to have another one real soon," Justin beamed. "Sorry about my outburst in there. It was a spur of the moment kind of thing."
"Forget that, sorry about fainting. What a great first impression for Ava," he faintly chuckled.
"I bet she won't remember it. I'm going to go in now. She might deliver again at any minute. You sure you don't wanna come?" Justin inquired.
"I think I'll stick out here. I don't think I can handle it. Give Latoya my love, okay? And kiss Ava for me. She has to have my middle name choice. It compliments her name."
"I will. And you are right," Justin pecked his mate on the cheek and smiled at the group and headed back into the room.
"Seems you have great timing, Justin," Dr. Jones called out. "The baby's head has crowned." Justin quickly ran to Latoya's side, whispering words of encouragement in her ear. "And go!1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Stop." The doctor suctioned the child's mouth and nose out. "This one's a blonde. A full head of hair like its sister. One more push Latoya and then it'll be all over, okay? Go," the doctor counted out loud and watched as the baby fell into her hands. "You have another girl," she announced. She cut the umbilical cord and helped cleaned her off.
"I'm so proud of you, honey," Maureen took the baby out of the doctor's hands and cleaned the infant next to her sister. "What's her name baby?"
Latoya fell back to the bed. "Did you hear that Toya? We have another girl!" Justin gleefully exclaimed. He checked to see if she had all of her digits and body parts. "She's so damn beautiful. What's her name?"
"I heard," she said tiredly. "She's Eva. Does she have everything she's supposed to have?" Latoya was happy that this was over and that the babies were alright.
"She does. And she's a blonde. And, she's," Justin began to cry. He and JC were really fathers now. They had Ava and Eva. They had a real family.
"Don't cry on me now, Timberlake." Latoya wanted him to stop because she didn't want to start blubbering along with him. Justin's head fell on her shoulder and Latoya felt tears trickle down her face. "Hey you two!" Maureen smiled. She held both of her granddaughters in her arms.
"There are two little ladies who want to meet you." She handed Eva to her father and Ava to her mother. "How about I go see if Joshua is ready to come in? The worst is over now." She turned to fetch the young man.
"God she's so tiny," Justin whispered. "I told you they were gorgeous. It's a shame they are never going to date."
"I'm in love," Latoya whispered to Ava and then brushed a finger against Eva's cheek. Then she turned to Justin, "What are talking about? They are not even an hour old. When did dating become an issue?" JC came in silently. He stood next to Latoya's other side and kissed Ava's head.
"Sorry about earlier sweetheart. Now where's Eva? Maureen told me we had another girl."
Justin handed his daughter to husband, "This is Eva. Actually Eva Annalise Chasez Timberlake."
"Her middle name's Annalise Chasez?" Latoya asked. "Then what's this one's middle name?"
"Elizabeth Chasez," JC whispered, in total awe at what the three of them created.
"Nice," Latoya smiled. "Chasez does add flair doesn't it? Now how about we let these little girls go to the nursery? I think there are anxious family members out there."
"God they are lovely," Joshua gave Eva to her mom and took Ava into his arms.
"See. Look on their effect. You're telling me that you're going to make them date? You must be out of your ever-loving mind." Justin argued.
"We are not having this discussion. It's ridiculous," Latoya scowled.
"How about we talk about this in sixteen years or so?"
"Sixteen? Try more like sixty." Justin meant business.
"Oh god. Ava, Eva, you're Daddy is a crazy man. Yes he is," she whispered to the children. "I hope you don't have his genes."
