| News Tidbits | EA Announces Features for Upcoming Sports Titles. | |||||||||||||
| –Microsoft has also announced Top Spin for the Xbox console. This will be a tennis game which will be Live enabled. Top Spin is planned to be released in the fall.
–Microsoft will have the only online baseball game this year, Inside Pitch 2003. Both All Star Baseball 2004 and High Heat will have downloadable content, but neither will be playable online. Both EA and Sega opted not to include downloadable content in their offerings for this year. Inside Pitch 2003 is expected in May. –Tournament page coming soon, along with 2 leagues or tournaments run simultaneously. Stay tuned. |

| 5/30/03 – EA announced several improvements that will be added to their upcoming sports titles at E3. The biggest enhancements are coming to the PS2 lineup, which will add online play or improved features to the existing online titles (Madden and NBA Live). Online play will be added to Tiger Woods: PGA Tour 2004, NCAA College Football 2004, NCAA March Madness 2004, and possibly FIFA 2004 (I have read conflicting reports on this one). Voice Chat will also be added to their online sports titles to try and keep up with Xbox Live. Also PS2 owners will be the only ones to receive Rugby 2004 (which will not be online from what I gather).
Other new features will include as follows: NBA Live will have improved Franchise mode that will allow for importing your college players from March Madness, Madden will boast a new " playmaker" option allowing you to modify a given play on the fly at the line of scrimmage, and FIFA will have an improved franchise mode as well. Also the Gamecube titles will use some sort of connectivity to the Gameboy Advance, although no details are given at this time. |

| 3/15/03 – There will be a few online tournaments coming VERY soon. So far the front runners are NFL 2K3 and NHL 2K3 for our initial tournaments, but we welcome suggestions. I would still like to start a NCAA Basketball tourney if enough interest is generated.
