Pessimisstic Views

Cloninger, an eternal cynic with the capacity of imagination of a tick, claims that "Hypertext is just text that links." Further on in that small minded analysis, he simply claims that, "That's it." WOW! Intelligent offerings from a man who speaks about a urinal. Educational and insightive, you highbrow milksop.

What Cloninger fails to realize is the impact on a medium due to those links, multimedia, and hypertext genre IS substantial. Imagine the ability to link to various types of communicative processes happening all at once. Chat room and movie links allow more variation and further dissemination of knowledge than the dusty codex. Besides... Cloninger's article can be found online, so obviously SOMEONE thinks it is important.
