Chapter 3
“So, what did you guys think of the place today?” I asked my brothers as we settled on the couch in Zac’s hotel room for a friendly (yeah-right) night of video games.
“It was pretty cool. It was definitely different,” Zac said not taking his eyes off the video game playing out in front of him.
“Yeah, I liked it” Isaac agreed.
“I thought it was great. We should definitely film there” I told him my opinion.
“This wouldn’t have anything to do with that fact that if we filmed there you’d get to see more of the beautiful Maria could it?” Ike teased me. I shot him a death stare.
“Yeah, so what exactly happened when the two of you just disappeared today?” Zac asked.
“Nothing, she was just showing me some of the land” I protested.
“Sure, showing you the land” Ike said emphasizing the word land.
“Playing a little friendly game of horizontal?” Zac suggested.
“Please guys, we were gone for what? Like 5 minutes maybe. She was just trying to be friendly and show me around. She took me to this really cool over-look. I’ve been wondering if we could use it somehow. You guys should seriously see it” I tried to change the subject.
“Yeah, but she kissed you. You had that goofy grin on your face around her the rest of the day. There’s no point in trying to deny it to us” Zac said.
“You guys are so wrong.” I said. I paused for a moment. “For your information I kissed her” I added with a laugh.
“Should have known. Taylor, you’re such a tease” Ike told me rolling his eyes. Obviously my brothers were not impressed by my suave way with the women.
“What? I am not! She was a beautiful girl so I kissed her. I fully intend on following up on this matter next time we go there” I informed them.
“Yeah, we’ll see about that when the time comes” Zac said sarcastically.

That night I lay sleepless in bed. Two things were on my mind, and they just wouldn’t go away. One, of course, was Maria. I felt like she was just the epitome of beauty. Her smooth voice echoed in my ears. I sighed wondering when I was going to get to see her again. I certainly couldn’t wait to ‘follow up’ on today’s afternoon with her. “Oh the possibilities” I thought smirking.
The other thing my mind was on was the conversation I had had with my brother’s that evening. Did they think I was just some kind of player or something? So what if I was a big time flirt. I was always true to the girls I dated. And in my mind the number of woman I had dated was significantly too low for my 19 years. Where did they come off thinking I was a player? God they pissed me off sometimes.
Well, I was going to show them. I could tell that Maria was someone special. I was determined to make things count with her. That would do it. And it would be pretty sweet for me too.
Thinking about everything got me so excited. I couldn’t wait to get back to the ranch. I couldn’t wait to see Maria again. I couldn’t wait to have near me again, feel her lips pressed against my own. Finally I fell asleep. I’m sure I had a goofy grin plastered all over my face just thinking about it. I could tell this was certainly going to be an adventure.
