It's time for our Fourth Annual Harmony from the Heart
concert and auction to benefit platelet research!

Hi, thank you for coming to our site to find out more information on our 4th annual Harmony from the Heart benefit concert.

At the suggestion of and prompting by good friend Lynda McNally, we started this fundraising effort shortly after Toby, our youngest son and Lynda's godson, went through many months of extensive plasma treatments at UMass for TTP, a blood disease that, quite frankly, mystified us. Our family is so grateful for the doctors and nurses who treated him and helped us through a difficult time. We know, without a doubt, that the research done at the Center for Platelet Function Studies and the answers they have found over the years saved Toby's life. As recently as five years prior to Toby's diagnosis, the mortality rate for this disease was 80%.

It is for that reason that we gather with friends each year to say thank you and to raise money for further research. Platelet research seeks to find answers not only for TTP but many other diseases and disorders including coronary artery disease, cancer, diabetes and stroke. We hope that our donations might, in some small way, contribute to helping these great doctors and researchers further their studies, find more answers, and
save more lives.

This promises to be another great evening of music and fundraising. My favorite band, Pt 73, who have been with us since the beginning, will be performing again this year. We are pleased to have the guitar-picking talents of Peter Paulousky joining the entertainment line up. And of course, I believe we'll see another performance by Kai and Toby again this year.

Please set aside Saturday September 22nd and join us for the music, the food, the many fabulous auction and raffle items and the good feeling you get when you know your dollars are making a difference. We look forward to seeing you there.
