The size 100 is the finest thread DMC makes. 100% cotton hangs and drapes beautifully. This is my first choice for any thread work. The white is marginally thicker than the ecru.

The make up of this thread is just like the Cordonnett special,with a tight 6-ply twist, mercerized for ease for working. It is size 80, slightly thicker than 100, but comes in so many more colors.

This is just a little thicker than the tatting cotton. The two plies are twisted softly for softer finished items. The thread is true to its name with its pearl sheen. Use in place of embroidery floss for a finer and neater look. It is not stranded so you don't have to separate it into individual strands for knitting and crochet. Its special twist also makes it more durable than regular embroidery floss. Suitable for stitching as well as for knitting and crochet. The color number scheme is the same with the regular embroidery floss in most cases, with an additional "2" in the front. Please note that this line has been discontinued by DMC for several years, and we are selling our existing stock only.
