all day, my thoughts continue to plague me.
the conversations flow through my mind—
swiftly, slowly, incessantly, intermittently—
but always with one person, the same person,
over and over,
the same conversation,
about our one mistake,
about trying to undo,
about what we wish,
about actions that cannot be taken back,
about words left unspoken,
as I sit alone on the cold concrete floor
with the heavy thuds of raindrops
falling on the ceiling of an empty warehouse.
