In Oklahoma, the state shaped like a pot, it was snowing and whoever wasn't used to the cold stayed inside. It looked like someone had dumped bucketloads of sugar everywhere. One figure who was standing on the roof of a building wasn't so cold.

The figure crouched down with its cloak flapping in the breeze, a hood hiding the figures face in shadow, watching all the humans who were outside in the cold rush around and go into stores to keep warm before rushing back outside into the cold to get wherever they were going.

The figure raised on hand and summoned a small ball of glowing white ki energy, mumbling some words from a language forgotten to time. The ball of light flared through the spectrum, changing to pale blue, then to green, then to a deep red, and finally to a brilliant orange before throwing it up into the clouds. A small flash of light lit the overcast skies, and the snow slowly stopped.

"That should stop the snow from the upcoming blizzard," a soft female voice with a Mexican accent said from under the hood. The woman carefully jumped down from the roof and almost landed on a female human walking by.

"Who the hell are you, Evil Keneival?" The human said with a bit of anger that someone had almost landed on her head to knock her out.

"No,I am not Evil Keneival, m'lady." the cloaked figure pulled back her hood revealing a humanoid lion cat-girl with tan fur and a mane of silver hair on her head, and ashen blue eyes that seemed to be glowing. She wore a small bodysuit with shoulderpads connecting to her forearm armor that covered white gloves with black fingers and boot armor. Black wings were wrapped around her waist.

The human's eyes grew wide. "I thought cat-girls weren't real." The cat-girl half smiled.

Midnight Star tried her best to not roll her eyes as she grinned at the blonde human. Some of her sharp teeth showing. "I am the last of my kind since a sorcerer killed off my race. I also have demon blood in me." The human seemed confused so the cat-girl told her her story of what all happened and how she had survived.

A long time ago, an elven sorceress sat meditating in the middle of a meadow with a 15 year old lion cat-girl she had chosen to be as her apprentice, since the young girl was the only cub mature enough and was born in demon blood that would help her grow strong. For some reason the cat-girl seemed bothered by something.

"Midnight Star, what's wrong?" Enya, the after elven sorceress asked. The girl slowly opened her ashen blue eyes and looked up at her teacher. "I sense danger soon to come." There was seriousness in her eyes. A cat-guy with the coloring and stripes of a tiger came running up to them with a terrified look.

"Daniko, what's wrong?" Enya asked as Midnight Star got up holding her dagger. "A sorcerer attacks. He has killed all of our kind. We are the last," Daniko said as he looked at Midnight Star. The three jumped when a man in dark robes appeared. "Midnight Star, I want you to escape somewhere safe while Daniko and I fight."

Midnight Star shook her head. "No. I will not leave you." Enya turned to her with pleading eyes. "Please. You are not strong enough," Daniko said. She sighed in defeat. "Alright. then." She kissed Daniko before running toward the trees behind them and going into a teleport portal she summoned to go underground. When she felt three powerful pains with one weaker than the other two,she knew that the sorcerer, Daniko her love, and Enya were dead.

She practiced her magick as time went and somehow discovered her demon rage attack while concentrating to use a magick with a rapid claw punch. When she did it the demon blood began to boil and she shifted to demon form increasing the speed of her punches and kicks, and looked into the future with a magickal blue orb that Enya had given her. What she saw was a lot of tall buildings and interesting looking devices called computers. When the year reached 1997 she walked above ground at night and got a computer with some hypnotizing.

An abandoned building became her home for her and the computer as she set it up. She surfed the net a lot and came across several mstings. One was of someone called PJ who wrote disturbing lemons, and another was Chibi-Usa's birthday, which disturbed her a bit despite the funny riffs. She soon became interested in writing her own and wrote three mstings.

The years passed and the year reached 2001. Not that she really payed attention to the years anyway. She found something about a fighting tournament called GMCA on another planet named Sierra and found several portal maps, one led to a park nearby.

She walked to the park, but didn't notice a few kids there until a snowball hit her in the face, causing her to jump and yeowl in surprise. "It's a cat-girl!" A girl voice exclaimed. "More like a lion-girl." An older male voice said.

When Midnight Star got the snow from her eyes, she looked up to see two younger girls with a older boy with heavy garments on. "Umm. Do you come in peace, cat-girl?" one of the young girls asked as she walked over to her slowly. Midnight Star just smiled and nodded. "I'm Midnight Star. And you?" She asked, deciding to introduce herself. "I'm Rena. This is Kilie and Josh." the girl said. Midnight star smiled then scanned the park as if looking for something. She then asked, "What year is it? I seemed to have lost track of the years." "It's the year 2001," Josh replied. The cat-girl promptly facefaulted into the snow. "Never knew I would lose track of time when reaching age 20," Midnight Star mumbled as she stood up. "How old are you?" Kilie asked. "I'm 3000 years old." "Wow," was Josh's wide eyed reply to that.

"You look so young!" Rena exclaimed. Midnight Star laughed. "I was a part of a race of cat-people that had a long lifespan," She explained. "We were all different races of cats. ten tigers, fourteen panthers, fifteen jaguars, and seventeen lions. A cub in their teens would always be chosen by a sorceress to be an apprentice. Sometime in my years as a young cub, I was chosen by an elven sorceress to be her apprentice, since I was born with demon blood running in my veins that would help me grow strong. the other cubs were too young and weak. Months after that, my teacher, my love and my people were all killed by an evil sorcerer." "That sucks." Josh said.

Midnight Star laughed. "Yes, but I was not powerful enough for the battle." A faint glow to her left caught her attention. She turned to see a glowing ring that led into darkness. "What is that?" Kilie asked. Midnight Star slowly grinned, realising it was the portal that would take her where she needed to go. "You three stay here." She slowly walked on all fours toward the glowing ring and slowly raised her hand to it. She was gone in a blink of an eye when her hand went through.

Kilie took off her beanie hat when the portal disappeared with Midnight Star, and scratched her elven ears. "Shouldn't we have followed her to protect her since she is the last of her kind?" she asked. Josh shook his head. "Might not be a good idea." Josh replied. "Our parents did think they were the only ones who survived from long ago, too." Rena added. Josh looked at the ground in thought. "We will go later when the first week of battles are over."

Midnight Star fell with her eyes closed, for her cloak prevented her from using her wings to fly. Her breath was knocked out of her when she landed on her stomach.

"Ouch." She said, and coughed as she slowly stood up with someone's help. "You ok lady?" a male voice asked. She looked up to see a slightly muscular man with dark skin, wire rimmed glasses, dark raggedy hair back in a pony tail and thick stubble. He was wearing grey jeans, hiking boots, a jacket the color of the night sky, and a shirt of an SD of the him. Midnight Star blinked when she thought she saw it wave.

"Just got the breath knocked out of me." She coughed a little as she got her breath back slowly and looked at the distant mountain ranges then at one huge building the size of what seemed to be a small city. There was possibly rooms in that place for the fighters to stay. "Cool."

The guy looked up as if to see if anything else would fall from the sky. "Hmmmm...No raining cat-girls." He said with disappointment.

Midnight Star snickered. "I was in a park on Earth when a portal appeared." She looked at the picture of the SD version of the guy and noticed it's eyes were looking up and down her body. She quickly closed her cloak.

"Hey, miss!" Midnight Star looked up to where she heard someone call her and noticed one of the officials motioning for her to come over.

"Better go and join up." She rushed over to the official and turned to ask the guy who he was, but he was already gone. A grey portal hung in the air where he had stood for a few seconds before disappearing. "What's your name, miss?" The official asked. "I'm Midnight Star." She watched the guy enter her name on a small minicomputer and gave her her room number.

"M'lord, who was that guy with the dark jacket?" She asked.

"That guy was NeoVid. I suggest a young lady like you should stay away from him. He's a freak." the official replied as he handed her a little e-pad with the rules on the screen.

Midnight Star blinked at this. Hmmm NeoVid. Kinda handsome in a scraggly way, she thought as she headed inside the sportsplex with her face becoming warm. She stopped as one rule about exploring but not leaving the mountains scrolled onto the screen of the e-pad. She smiled remembering how much she loved to fly and explore in her dragon form. The cat-girl placed the e-pad in hammerspace and concentrated on her dragon form. Her body grew 16 feet tall as what she was wearing morphed with her. The scales that appeared on her were a light blue while her eyes remained their ashen blue. She spread her wings and took flight, careful to mind the rules of not leaving the mountain range.

A few hours later, Midnight Star sat in a place called The Blue Gecko after morphing back to her normal cat-girl form. She sampled one of the many odd drinks of Sierra that was a strange aqua green. After awhile she headed back to the hotel to find her room. When she found it, she found a room with one big bed, a kitchen and a bathroom with a shower and bath. She was feeling tired after her five hour dragon flight and fell asleep when she plopped down on the bed.

A form suddenly shimmered beside her bed. It was shadowed but the shadowed form had the features of a cat-person. It touched Midnight Star briefly on the face before disappearing as she stirred and looked around. She looked around the room as she lay back down wondering what had touched her. Probably just a flying stealth droid checking stuff. She tought as she fell back asleep.
