The prints are one-of-a-kind. The warm, antique look is achieved by first
processing the prints in various toners, and then most images are subtly
handcolored, using special paints and pencils for that purpose.
In a review in the Worcester Telegram and Gazette, Frank Mageira wrote about
these photographs: "Talman's camera seems to stroke its subject, like a cat
on her lap, before she clicks the shutter, imbuing them with a savory
mysticism. Even a single picture of a basin looks like a spiritual vision through Talman's
lens."
