Netiquette

Netiquette (Net + Etiquette) is very important when using the Internet. Some example guidelines are:

• Always put a subject line to your message

• Include your signature at the bottom of an e-mail

• Do Not use all capitals as it is considered SHOUTING. Use *asterisks* to highlight a word or phase.

• Be careful when using sarcasm and humor since without the usual facial clues to add meaning to what is written, it is very easy for misunderstandings to occur.

• Be professional and careful when writing about others. Email is easily forwarded.
