I am a software engineer, working in Seoul, South Korea. I graduated from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 2002. I then worked in Java, J2EE, relational database and EAI systems in various capacities. I was lucky to have very good technical people around me, giving me an excellent learning experience throughout. I have been appreciated for good analytical skills, technical knowledge and dedication to the success of my project.

I started my career at Mastek Ltd as a programmer trainee. Mastek is a fairly large Indian software company with operations in the USA, UK, Malaysia, Japan etc. It has a good Fortune 500 client base. It´s known as Majesco in the US. Mastek was a very good start for my career where with the help of my team-mates I not only learned a lot of technical skills but also learned to cope up with the pressures of work. That experience at the start of my career has helped me always. I then worked in at TS2 software, an offshore development center for Qwest Communications. At the time it was a very new company, just a few months old and with around 40 employees. Here I met the technical experts and gurus. My team-mates at Qwest had excellent understanding of Java, J2EE and associated design patterns. Under tremendous pressure to perform, I quickly picked up new skills and best practices.

My current job is at one of the largest and most advanced steel manufacturers of the world, POSCO. I am working as a consultant from Winoble Inc. The work involves enhancements in the EAI system that went live in January, 2005. New challenges come up here. The most important, language. Most of my colleagues find it hard to communicate in English. So information has to be interpreted and guessed. Also working at the client site requires high accountability and ownership. While working here I am also contributing to the SCM product development in my company, Winoble. I support them by designing components in Java to be used in the product. The challenge here is to find the best solution and to convince team members of the same.

Here is my resume.
