Generally, my thesis, entitled as of now as Using Reed-Solomon Codes in Compact Discs, is basically about the Reed-Solomon code and its applications, focusing on the compact discs as transmission media.

Dr. Fidel Nemenzo, my first thesis adviser, was the one who introduced me to the vast knowledge about coding theory.  We attended the Expert Workshop in Coding theory last 26 January to 2 February, 2001 at the Ateneo de Manila University where Prof. Philippe Gaborit was the speaker.

Dr. Jose Ma. Balmaceda is my current thesis adviser, since Sir Fidel needs to sail to Singapore for his post-doctoral studies.

I'm not sure yet, but may be Dr. Ric del Rosario will help me with my implementation.  Either I implement my research in C or Matlab, it depends with him.
