The philosophy of Louisiana Technical College-Sidney N. Collier Campus is designed to help students acquire a general understanding of how to meet their career goals and objectives. The guidance and placement of students in programs are predicated on the student's background, test scores on the TABE, and individual course requirements as prescribed by local, state, and federal laws governing postsecondary education and the Louisiana Technical College System.

One of our major responsibilities is to prepare all students who are accepted into this institituion with the essential knowledge, skills, and work attitudes required to carry out adult work roles necessary for maintenance of one's self, family, and those which are prerequisites for entering and progressing in today's workplace.

The Louisiana Tehnical College-Sidney N. Collier Campus is a state-supported, postsecondary institution and functions as an integral part of Louisiana's education system. The purpose of this agency is to prepare individuals through exposure and training for employment comparable to their training.
