"No...no...Whoh! Skimpy!... uh uh...no way! Mel, this store has no good dresses! Why in the
world did you drag me in here?"
Melanie shrugged. "I dunno, it's a good store! It's more my type, though... you don't like any
dress that goes lower than your neck! For god's sake, woman, grow up!"
Zoey laughed. "Well excuse me!"
Zoey rolled her eyes. "Well still, girl, you have to learn to be more mature. You want to win this
thing, don't you?"
Zoey nodded herhead vigeriously. "Oh yeah, more than anything!"
"Well then be mature! After all, this is for teenagers, right?"
"Well, yeah... but...Melanie!"
Melanie looked bewildered. "What is your problem, girl?"
Zoey jumped up and down impatiently. "I need something absoulutely perfect!" She finally said
after a moment of staring into space.
"Well then, come on, lets go find the perfect dress!"
Zoey grinned. "Good," she said, holding out her arm formaly. "Shall we?"
Melanie linked her arm with Zoey's. "Yes we shall," she said back, as they strolled down the
hallway of the mall.
"Zoey?" Melanie asked urgently.
"What?"
"I really gotta go pee!"
Zoey laughed. "So go, I'll be fine. I'm a big girl, I can take care of myself."
"Okay...go look in that store, it's got awesome dresses, and they would look 'da bomb' on you!"
Zoey smiled. "Maybe," she said.
Melanie took off for the hallway that lead to the ladies room. She laughed, and started for the
store Melanie suggested when she saw the perfect dress on a sales rack. "Oh, I have to get that!"
she muttered to herself, as she took off towards the store.
