Chapter Eleven

"She's mean, and she's awful, and she's rude, and Taylor, I hate her!" Zoey complined as she pulled away from Taylor's hug.

"Zoey...maybe...maybe you should tell her how you feel," Taylor suggested.

"Oh, like that's gonna work," Zoey snapped. "I'm probably grounded for life after I told her off today," she said.

"Zoey... why don't you come home with me tonight? You can stay in the spare room we have... it's really cozy," he offered.

Zoey shook her head. She was so lucky to have a friend like Taylor, but she couldn't. "No," she replied. "Thanks for the offer, but I don't think so," she said. "It would feel to weird. I mean... you know?"

Taylor nodded his head. "Yeah, i know... Some other time, okay?"

Zoey nodded. "Yeah, sure," she said. "Thanks."

"Are you sure?"

Zoey nodded. "Yeah, I'm sure. Really, I'll be fine. I mean, what can she do? I'll just lock my door, and ignore her..."

Taylor nodded. "Well..I'd better be going now...Zoey?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you still mad at me?"

Zoey smiled a little. "No..not really...but you shouldn't have laughed at me... it really hurt my feelings."

Taylor sighed. "I'm sorry, Zoey..."

Zoey nodded. "Me too...I'm still a little mad, though Tay...I'll get over it though."

Taylor nodded, and smiled a little. "Bye, Zo."

"Bye Taylor."

Taylor climbed up on the window ledge, and onto the tree that was right beside her window. Her mother didn't know that Taylor had dropped by.

"Oh, and Taylor?"

Taylor twisted his head so that he could see her.

"Thanks for coming over," she said gratefully.

"Sure, Zoey, any time," he said, and popped out of sight.
