Buffy with ice pack Nurse Greenliegh:

Debut -- Go Fish (Season 2)

Died Same Episode

We first see Nurse Greenliegh when Cameron the swim-team guy needs to have his nose checked out. He'd gotten fresh with Buffy so she rammed his head into the steering wheel of his car a few times. Anyway, Nursey reminds me of a kinder, gentler Nurse Ratched -- actually, I guess that wouldn't really be Nurse Ratched at all; never mind.

Nurse Greenliegh is in the know about what Coach Marin is doing to the boys on his swim team -- he's infusing their steam sessions with some kind of chemical/steroid thing that is made mostly from fish DNA. When the boys start turning into these big funky fishes, Nursey tries to persuade Marin to give it up -- she tries to appeal to his sense of morality. Sense of morality -- that sounds odd..but you know what I mean.

Marin perceives Nurse Greenliegh as a threat; in an effort to keep her from blowing the whistle on him, and in an effort to feed his fish-boys, he throws Nursey down into the sewer area. There, she's attacked by 3 members of the swim team. They eat her and leave her body floating in the water, where Buffy later finds her. The Nurse wasn't all that bad; I mean, yeah, she knew what was happening was wrong, and she tried to stop it. So I can't really fault her for anything. Then again, she must've been weak in the head to let Marin get away with the fish DNA experiments in the first place...

logo Neal (aka Neal R.):

Debut -- Ted (Season 2)

Last Seen -- Same Episode

Neal's one of Ted's co-workers who Buffy meets when she's scoping out Ted's office for info. He asks her if she's new and she says her name's Belinda and that she's just in for the day.

When Buffy asks about Ted's selling skills, Neal lets her know that "Nobody beats the machine." He tells Buffy that he's surprised that Ted's cluttered his desk with a picture of his girlfriend -- Joyce -- and that Ted's already set a date for the wedding.

Neal's a middle-aged guy who's self-admittedly bitter because of Ted's success. But he looks pretty affable, otherwise. His face sorta reminds me of Buffy's first watcher, but that might just be 'cause of the 'stache. Haven't seen or heard from Neal since this episode, but he's probably still stuck in "the salt mines." Hey, at least he won't have to worry about competition from Ted anymore!

Best Delivered Line:

"Uh-oh, the uber-boss. Back to the salt mines." -- upon exiting his convo with Belinda (aka Buffy).
