There are many very good Philately related sites in the WWW, and even more not-so-good ones. Below I have listed a few of the ones that I like the most, and others that I found to have a lot of worthwhile information. If you have a favorite you think I should list, drop me a note and tell me about it.
Next, here are some links from folks who have been kind enough to link to my home page. Some are dealers, others are just other collectors and philatelists. There is no implication of endorsement, but take a look if they sound interesting.
Also, if you'd like your site listed below, or want to set up a link to mine, just let me know.
I have also enjoyed the online auctions that are all over the Internet these days. (Believe me, if I'd known eBay was going public, I would have bought in on day one. Sigh.) They are fun, and can be very addictive and thereby dangerous. But they are a good source of stamps and other related items, and can also help collectors dispose of unwanted material. I have bought well over 100 items at auction, and only been "stiffed" once - and I really think that was mostly an oversite by an overly busy dealer. But I sure won't buy from him again. I have also started selling my excess material, and had fairly good luck so far. Having these outlets available does allow me to buy a larger bunch of material (like a bunch of plate blocks) and not worry so much about what to do with the duplicates. Here is a link to the eBay Stamp site. If you've never been there, it can be overwhelming. Just start slow, check the completed auctions listings for similar items to get an idea of prices, and keep you budget in mind.
If you should find that any of the above links don't work, please drop me a line so I can fix or remove them from this page. I'd like this page, and this whole site, to be able to help out new and returning collectors, so please send me any links you feel are worthy.
