The want list for my "born again" collection is fairly large, but also fairly simple. To start with, I have been filling in some of the major gaps I had in my U.S. collection. That collection is made up of both individual stamps (mostly used) and plate blocks. I don't have any real interest in FDCs, covers, or booklets. I do like PNCs and Postal Cards, and will be building a collection of them as time goes by. I have filled in most of the individual stamps in my collection from around 1920 to around 1981, but still have very big holes both earlier and later (to about 1995), as well as gaps where the more expensive stamps have yet to be purchased. (Not that I can afford those REALLY expensive ones.)
I am also interested in world wide "classic stamps" - for me that means anything from 1963 and earlier. The list below is pretty generalized, and reflects what I have been able to do with my old collection and some of my additions from the auctions sites and trades. It doesn't show everything that I collect, mostly just those areas where I know what I have so can figure out what to buy or trade for!
This list will grow as I am able to catalog what I have and can put them into albums. (Actually it has changed a lot since I first put this site up. I bought additional stamps for many of the areas I have completed remounting from my original childhood collection, and need to mount all of those stamps before I can start buying for those countries again.) I do not need every stamp in each of these categories, so complete sets are likely to be refused. (Don't be offended.) I can provide "want lists" for these areas pretty easily, so just ask. I am not unwilling to buy for areas that aren't listed, so if you have some extras in those areas you'd like to offer, fine. I'll consider any offer, but my current primary areas are those in the list. Of course, my budget is limited, but I am trying to add a little something each week. Another area where I am buying are WW albums and pages, and accumulations or old collections that I can pick through. If you have something you'd like to dispose of (I'm pretty easy), just let me know, and we should be able to work something out.
