Chapter 34"AJ I'm really not in the mood to get yelled at by her. I mean come on. We know what's wrong with her. She lost a second baby. Naturally she's going to be upset and depressed about it," Toni said over the phone.
"Please, I'm literally down on my knees begging you. Toni you said you would talk to her. I know there has to be something else bothering her other than losing the baby otherwise she would talk to me. She gets here then leaves to stay with Kevin then comes back and won't say anything to me."
"Can't you wait another day?"
"Why are you so afraid of Kristen yelling at you? You could kill her, she's half your size. Well...not really but come on you get the picture. And besides we are leaving tomorrow to go on tour. I don't want to have to be worrying about her every two seconds. So please?"
"Uh fine. But if she yells at me I'm going to chew your ass out okay?"
"It's a deal."
"Alright I'll be there in a few, bye," Toni said hanging up. "I'm taking your prowler!" Toni yelled at Nick grabbing his keys off the table.
"Oh no you don't," Nick said flying down the stairs and blocking the door so Toni couldn't walk out. "Give me my keys back. You're not taking my prowler."
"This is going to ruin my day by going and talking to Kristen and having her yell at me so the least you could do to cheer me up is let me borrow your precious baby," Toni said sarcastically.
"Well I could cheer you up on my own," Nick said with a wicked smile as he pulled her close to him and grinded his pelvic area into her.
"Okay you can do that to, bye Nicky," Toni said kissing him on the lips and pushing him aside as she walked out the door and got in his prowler. Not to long later she arrived at AJ's and went right into his house without knocking.
"Haven't you learned your lesson more than once about just barging in?" AJ asked curiously.
"Oh please. Kristen isn't even talking to you and you think you will be getting it on? I don't think so. Where she's at?"
"Upstairs in the guest bedroom."
"Why isn't she in yours and her room?"
"Because she's not talking to me or sleeping with me. Now just go talk to her please." Toni ran up the stairs and lightly knocked on the door. When she didn't hear a response she slowly opened the door closing it behind her as she entered. She saw Kristen laying on the bed sleeping and sat down on the bed next to her.
"Hey girl, wake up," Toni said gently shaking her until she woke up.
"What are you doing here?" Kristen asked tiredly as she stretched.
"AJ's worried about you and since you won't talk to him he asked me to come over and talk to you."
"I'm not in the mood to talk," Kristen said turning over so she wasn't facing Toni.
"I don't care if you're in the mood or not," Toni said turning her back over. "I'm tired of you taking everything in your life for granted."
"I'm not taking anything for granted."
"Yes you are. You're taking AJ for granted. He's hurting as much as you are over losing the baby and you won't let him go through it with you."
"Toni I don't want to talk about it! You have no idea what I'm going through with losing the baby and with AJ!" Kristen yelled at her.
"You don't have to be going through anything with AJ! He wants to be there for you but you keep pushing him away! He is always there for you but you never want him! The one time you're going to want him there he won't want anything to do with you and you'll have to deal with all your shit on your own!" Toni yelled then walked out of the room slamming the door shut behind her.
"What happened?" AJ asked as Toni came running down the stairs.
"She's being stupid that's what happened. AJ when you leave to go on tour with the guys tomorrow just have fun. Don't worry about her. The only way she is going to come to her senses is by doing it on her own. She's being stubborn."
"I don't care how stubborn she's being Toni. She's my wife whom I love very much. How am I not supposed to be worried about her?"
"I don't know but you don't need to be getting yourself worked up about it while on tour. Just go be sexual for your fans or something."
"Yeah that's a nice way to put it but thanks for trying I guess."
"Yeah I better get a thank you for her yelling at me. Since you're leaving early in the morning I guess I'll see you when you get home, bye," she said hugging him and giving him a kiss on the cheek before leaving. The next morning AJ woke up early and got all his stuff together by the door that he was bringing on the tour bus. He went into the room Kristen was sleeping in and sat down on the bed careful not to wake her. He saw how peaceful she looked when she was sleeping and he leaned over and gently kissed her on the lips. When he looked at her again he knew everything would be okay when he saw a smile form on her face even though she didn't wake up.
"I love you," he whispered in her ear then got up and left. A few hours later Kristen woke up to the door bell ringing. When she didn't hear AJ answering the door she got up and opened it herself to see Jasmine and Mandy standing on the other side.
"How you feeling?" Jasmine asked giving her friend and group member a hug.
"Like shit, any other stupid questions?"
"You don't need to get an attitude with us for being good friends you know."
"Sorry."
"Why aren't you ready yet?" Mandy asked her.
"Because you two woke me up."
"You should have been up earlier," Jasmine said. "We're supposed to start recording our album today. I wrote a few songs and Lou is going to take a look at them and if he likes them he's going to get music to go with them. Don't you think that's great?"
"Yeah totally."
"You could be a little happier about it you know. I've always wanted to be able to write for an album and now I'll be writing for my own," Jasmine said excitedly.
"Our own," Mandy said correcting her.
"You know what I meant."
"Where's AJ at?" Kristen asked interrupting the talk about the song writing on their album.
"You don't know? He left," Mandy said surprised that Kristen didn't know about the tour. Kristen just stared at Mandy for a few seconds and remembered what Toni said about AJ not always going to be there for her. She didn't know that he was leaving to go on tour with the rest of the guys that day so she automatically assumed that he left her for good. After thinking about it for a little longer she broke down in tears and fell to the floor crying and Jasmine gave Mandy a weird look. "What? I didn't say anything wrong!" Mandy said thinking that Jasmine was going to lecture her. Then they both got on their knees on the floor to comfort Kristen and to find out what was wrong.
"Kristen calm down," Jasmine said helping Kristen into a sitting positing and wrapping her arms around her and she cried into her shoulder.
"I'm so sorry," Kristen said between sobs.
"Sorry for what?" Jasmine asked completely confused.
"For everything! For being a bitch, for losing the baby, for treating AJ like crap!"
"Kristen losing the baby wasn't your fault."
"If I hadn't lost the baby then AJ wouldn't have left me!"
"He would have had to leave you no matter what. He has a tour to do with the other guys."
"What?" Kristen asked looking at Jasmine with a tear streaked face. "He's on tour?" she asked and Jasmine shook her head yes. "So he didn't leave me for good?"
"No, he would never do that. Come on," Jasmine said getting up and helping Kristen to her feet too. "We need to get to the studio. I'll help you get ready." They started walking towards the bedroom when Jasmine turned around and mouthed 'call AJ' to Mandy. Mandy took out her cell phone and not knowing what AJ's cell phone she dialed Howie's.
"Hello?" Howie asked answering the phone.
"Hey Howie it's Mandy."
"Oh hi. Have you started recording for the album yet?"
"No, we're waiting on Kristen."
"She still doing bad?"
"Yeah I guess you could say it that way. Actually that's why I'm calling. I didn't know AJ's number so I called you. Is he around?"
"He's in the back of the bus," Howie said walking towards the back. "Hold on a sec," he said then threw his phone at AJ. "Mandy's on the phone. She wants to talk to you about Kristen." AJ took the phone and walked out of the room in the back of the bus closing the door behind him so the other guys couldn't hear his side of the conversation.
"Mandy, what's going on with Kristen?" AJ asked worriedly.
"She just broke down in front of me and Jasmine. Jasmine is with her helping her get ready right now."
"What do you mean she just broke down?"
"She asked where you were and I told her you left and she fell to the floor crying her eyes out."
"Is she okay?"
"She's fine now I think. She didn't know you were leaving to go on tour today and she thought that you literally left her. She started apologizing like crazy for losing the baby, treating you bad..."
"Wait hold on a sec," AJ said interrupting her. "She was apologizing for losing the baby? She doesn't think it's her fault does she?"
"I don't know I'm just telling you what happened. She was practically hysterical and was apologizing for everything," Mandy said when Howie's cell phone started making weird noises.
"Listen I think Howie's phone is about to go dead so I'll talk to you later. Tell Kristen that I love her for me okay?"
"No prob. Call her later and see if she'll talk to you."
"I will, bye," AJ said just as the battery in the phone went dead. He went to the back of the bus again and sat down on the couch again not saying anything.
"What's wrong with you? You look a little out there," Kevin said.
"She still loves me," AJ said with the biggest smile he has made in the last week or so.
