Chapter 3"Yes I have. I want TJ to be my best man," AJ said and TJ was completely surprised.
"Why me?"
"Because I owe it to you. You watched out for Kristen when I couldn't so this is how I'm repaying you."
"Thanks man."
"You're making him best man?" Nick asked disappointed.
"Nick don't start complaining," Kevin said. "It's AJ's decision so don't throw a fit about it. No one else is."
"So! Toni is the maid of honor! It's only natural that I would be the best man then so I can walk down the aisle with her!"
"Nick you dumbass, the best man doesn't walk down the aisle," AJ said. "He'll be up at the alter thing with me."
"I know, I was just seeing if you knew that," Nick said trying to cover up his stupidity.
"Yeah right," Brian said as the lady who was helping them with the tuxes handed him a yellow vest. "Kristen is actually going for this yellow wedding thing?"
"Yeah, her people are wearing purple and my people are wearing yellow. It all works out," AJ said.
"Since when are we your people?" Howie asked.
"I was just saying how it is."
"It's weird seeing you to be the first one to get married," Kevin said.
"What is that supposed to mean?"
"Nothing. I always figured Brian would tie the knot with Angie first. When are you going to ask her to marry you?" Kevin asked Brian. "You two have been dating for about four years now and you two are always staying the night at each other's houses doing who knows what."
"Come on Kevin you know me better than that. You know I believe in waiting till I'm married before having sex."
"Yeah, well believing and doing are two completely different things," AJ said. "And we all know that you and Angela have done it," AJ finished saying and Brian glared at him as if to tell him to shut up. "What about Toni, Nick," AJ asked.
"What about her?"
"You two are pretty hot and heavy. You've done it more than me and Kristen have."
"You know what, my sex life is none of your business," Nick said getting all defensive about it. "Besides, it's not my fault Kristen won't screw you."
"Fuck you, Nick. It's my decision too about when me and her have sex and when we don't."
"Oh yeah? I bet you a hundred bucks that you can't get with her tonight. And don't try to lie about it either because Toni can get pretty nosy about that stuff and she'll find out."
"You're on," AJ said as him and Nick shook hands.
"Do you think you should actually bet on this?" TJ asked knowing it was a bad idea.
"TJ's right," Kevin said. "You two are being pretty immature about this bet. If Kristen found out you were betting on it she would be hurt. You know better than to hurt her AJ."
"Kristen don't have to find out," AJ said as he tried a jacket on that was part of a tuxedo. Meanwhile at the bridal store Kristen was getting tired of trying on wedding dresses but she couldn't find one that she wanted more than anything.
"You know this is getting ridiculous," Toni said starting to get impatient as she watched Kristen go into the dress room, try on a dress, then come out and model it over and over again each time.
"Toni, be quiet. If she doesn't love her wedding dress then her wedding won't be as great to her," Angela said.
"I completely agree," Mandy said.
"Thank you, you two," Kristen said smiling at Toni. Toni just rolled her eyes at her. Kristen tried on about three more dresses before trying on one more dress and came out of the dressing room freaking out. "I love this dress!" Kristen yelled.
"Oh my God, you and your velvet obsession," Toni said sarcastically.
"Shut up Toni, I love this dress! Mandy will you go get someone to help me please?"
"Sure," Mandy said getting up and coming back with one of the ladies that worked at the store. She began taking measurements of Kristen so she would know where the dress needed to be taken in at.
"Can you make sure to make the top of this pretty tight?" Kristen asked the lady. "It's sleeveless and I don't want to have to keep pulling it up or worry about it slipping down and showing my chest at the alter."
"No problem."
"That would be too funny if that happened," Toni said as she started to laugh.
"Well, I hope it does happen at you on your wedding day and then you can get the shit embarrassed out of you."
"I'm not getting married any time soon. I want to be able to drink legally before I get married. You should wait and do the same thing."
"I'm not waiting a year to marry AJ," Kristen said since she had turned twenty a month earlier. She took the dress off and got into her original clothes to leave. Her dress would be done in two weeks which was a week before the wedding. By the time Kristen got home after going out to dinner and picking up a few things it was going on ten o'clock and she was beat considering she had been up the whole day. She went into her and AJ's room and saw him laying on the bed and she figured he was asleep. She took off her shirt and pants and grabbed one of AJ's large t-shirts and went to pull it over her head to wear to bed when she felt AJ behind her. He took the shirt away from her and started kissing on her neck and wrapped his arms around her bare stomach. Kristen turned around in his embrace and saw he was only wearing boxers. She began kissing him when AJ picked her up and placed her on the bed underneath the blankets as he got in the bed on top of her. He took off her bra and panties and began kissing her everywhere. Although Kristen was completely worn out from shopping and trying on dresses all day she knew she wanted him so she pulled down his boxers. AJ positioned himself on top of Kristen and just when he was about to enter her body he looked her in the eye and then got off of her and laid down next to her. "What's wrong?" Kristen asked as AJ just laid there.
"Nothing," AJ said as he remembered what Kevin had said about if Kristen found out about the bet she would be hurt. He decided that he didn't want to do that and he was wrong for making the bet with Nick in the first place. Kristen stared at AJ for about a minute trying to figure out what was with the sudden change of emotion with him before she spoke.
"This doesn't have anything to do with the last time we had sex and how I got pregnant does it? Because if it does we can use a condom again and I doubt I'll get..." Kristen said when AJ cut her off.
"No, it has nothing to do with that, trust me."
"Then what is it?"
"Nothing, I was just thinking about some stuff," AJ said as he stared at the ceiling as if he were in deep thought.
"You're not having second thoughts about the wedding are you?" Kristen asked worriedly.
"God no," AJ said as he turned to face Kristen. "I would never have second thoughts about spending the rest of my life with you. I love you and it has nothing to do with you at all," AJ said kissing Kristen.
"Are you sure?"
"I'm positive, come here," AJ said as he laid back down on the bed. Kristen went and laid right up against him and laid her head on his chest as he wrapped his arms around her and they fell asleep.
