Chapter 19"Why did you say it? If you are still in love with Nick then you..."
"No, AJ, I'm not," Kristen said interrupting him. "It came out wrong and I'm sorry. I did love Nick but I never loved him as much as I love you."
"Why did you say it then in present tense?"
"I don't know but I don't love him any more and to be honest it does still hurt that my best friend would sleep with my boyfriend. She's done it twice and I know she wants to do it again."
"There's a huge difference there Kristen. Nick and that Jesse guy did go through with it and sleep with your best friend. I would never sleep with anyone other than you. I would never do anything that could result in losing you," AJ said pulling Kristen into his lap. Kristen wrapped her arms around his neck and she sat on his lap with one of his arms around her waist and the other across her legs.
"I'm truly sorry," Kristen said apologizing once again.
"I know you are. It's a good thing I love you so much and believe you or I would have a much harder time forgiving you," AJ said giving her a light kiss on the forehead.
"You want to know what I find really depressing though?"
"What's that?"
"When I first met you guys I chose Nick over you. I could have been with you from the beginning."
"Yeah that would have been good but there would have been one little problem with that."
"And that would be...what?"
"After you and Nick broke up and before me and you got together, you had a hard time trusting anyone. I helped you get full trust back into people specifically the male sex."
"You give yourself too much credit sometimes," Kristen said sarcastically.
"I'm serious. We might not have made it this far into our relationship."
"If you recall we almost didn't a few times," Kristen said. AJ just looked at Kristen when he thought about what Cassie did at the wedding and before that when Kristen broke up with him because he got her pregnant.
"Speaking of the first time we were almost over," AJ said then paused for a few seconds. "How about we try again?" AJ asked looking Kristen right in the eyes. Kristen just smiled at AJ then leaned her face towards AJ's as there lips met. He slowly separated her lips allowing his tongue to enter her mouth so he could play with hers. After about a minute of kissing they separated and just smiled at each other. "Come on. Let's go to our room," AJ said as he picked Kristen up and carried her down the hall to their room.
AJ woke up the next morning to a peacefully sleeping Kristen next to him. He leaned towards her and kissed her softly on the neck then gently began sucking on it until she woke up. "AJ," Kristen said softly and tiredly.
"Good morning," AJ said giving Kristen a peck on the lips.
"Good morning indeed. I could get used to these kind of wake up calls."
"Me too," AJ said as he loved on her some more.
"AJ, I need to get up."
"Why?" AJ asked still kissing her.
"Because I have some place to be today," Kristen said gently pushing AJ off her. She got out of bed and picked AJ's shirt off the floor that he was wearing the day before and put it on. "I'm going to go make myself a cappuccino, you want one?"
"No, I'll just take a coffee."
"Alright," Kristen said giving him a kiss on the cheek then leaving to go into the kitchen. She made her cappuccino then heated water for AJ's coffee. When it was done she turned around to take the coffee to AJ and she saw him standing their in the nude. "Where the hell are your clothes?"
"On the floor where you put them last night," AJ said with a grin.
"Well go put them on."
"No, I'm pretty comfortable like this," AJ said and Kristen gave him a weird look. "What?"
"We do have neighbors you know that don't you?"
"So, we have curtains on the windows too," AJ said with a seductive look on his face as he went to wrap his arms around Kristen.
"Oh, I forgot," Kristen said moving away from him. "I got you something yesterday," she said going over to the door where she put her shopping bags the night before. "Here," she said handing him a bag. AJ opened the bag and pulled out the sunglasses and hat Kristen bought the day before.
"This is a gag gift right?" AJ asked sarcastically.
"No, I thought it was cute. Try 'em on." AJ did as Kristen said then looked at Kristen with a flat expression on his face. "Looks good," Kristen said trying to hide her laughter.
"Don't ever laugh at me again," AJ said grabbing Kristen and knocking her over as he began kissing her as they started making out on the floor. Just then the front door burst open and AJ jumped off the floor and Kristen pulled her shirt down.
"Good mor......ning," Toni said when she saw AJ standing there in the nude wearing the smiley face sunglasses and hat. "Oh...my...God," Toni said slowly as she looked at AJ. She then started busting up laughing by the sight of him wearing nothing but the bright yellow hat and sunglasses. AJ grabbed Kristen off the floor and put her in front of him so Toni couldn't see his nudeness. Toni started laughing even harder.
"What the hell Toni?" Kristen asked. "There's a lock on the door for a reason."
"Oh don't even blame me," Toni said as she was able to control her laughter. "You two shouldn't leave the door unlocked to where anyone can enter in the middle of you two of having sex."
"We weren't having sex," Kristen said.
"Oh no, he's only butt ass naked and your wearing absolutely nothing under that shirt for the hell of it right? But I might say that is a very cute hat you are wearing, AJ."
"I'm just going to leave you two to talk while I just get some pants on," AJ said turning to walk away.
"Nice butt, but I must say that Nick's is much bigger," Toni said.
"Yeah, well I have bigger other things," AJ said going into his room.
"He only wishes," Toni said and Kristen gave her a weird look. "Don't look at me like that, you know Nick is bigger than him."
"I wouldn't know, I've never seen him and I don't plan on it."
"Oh come on, you dated him and you never saw him naked."
"No, Toni, I didn't. We never had sex and we never saw each other naked."
"Damn, how could you resist him?"
"It was easy, I'm not you," Kristen said as the two of them sat down at the table.
"Can I ask you something?"
"What?"
"Okay I know you and AJ were about ready to get it on together on the floor. Why wasn't he wearing a condom?"
"Toni, we're married he doesn't need to wear a condom. We're committed to each other no matter what happens after we have sex."
"You can get pregnant. You two haven't been married very long are you two ready to have a baby?" Toni asked.
"Actually yes and we are well aware of the chance of me getting pregnant."
"Are you saying you and AJ are trying to have a baby now?" Toni asked surprised.
"I guess. We got into a fight yesterday about stuff in the past. When I had a miscarriage was brought up in a way and he said he wanted to try again and I agreed."
"Oh wow. A miniature AJ or Kristen. Whoa, scary image just popped into my head."
"You're not funny."
"I think I am now will you go get dressed or something."
"Fine, I'll be out in about fifteen minutes I'm going to go take a shower," Kristen said getting up.
"Okay but considering AJ hasn't come back out yet he is probably waiting for you and I don't want to hear any noises coming out of the bathroom." Kristen just rolled her eyes at her when she went into her and AJ's bedroom. She saw AJ laying on the bed still naked.
"I thought you were going to put some pants on?" Kristen asked him.
"I was just waiting for you to come back."
"Well I'm getting in the shower," Kristen said going into the bathroom.
"Even better," AJ said to himself. When he heard the water running he got up and went into the bathroom joining Kristen in the shower and held her close to his body as he kissed her.
"Gees AJ after last night I thought that would satisfy you for a little while," Kristen said sarcastically.
"I don't like fighting with you so I'm trying to make up for it," AJ said as began sucking on her neck.
"No AJ stop it," Kristen said shrugging him off of her.
"What? What's wrong?"
"For some odd known reason you feel the constant need to cover me in hickeys. I already have a few on my collar bone from you last night and I don't need any on my neck where they are visible."
"It's not my fault I can't get enough of you."
"How do you figure that one?" Kristen asked.
"Well if you weren't so sweet and so damn sexy I wouldn't have a problem."
"Oh well I can turn very evil, ask Toni."
"I don't need to. I've seen you beat the shit out of Cassie a few times. Brian told me never to piss you off because you might try and beat me up. I find that to be a big laugh though."
"You would now get washed so I can finish my shower in private."
"Don't like my company?"
"Yeah but I need some privacy sometimes."
"Fine," AJ said as he washed up. He kissed Kristen one last time then got out of the shower and put his clothes on. He went into the living room to see Toni sitting on the couch watching TV.
"See, I know you two got it on in the shower," Toni said.
"Well it's good that you think you know everything. Did it ever cross your mind to knock before you entered someone's house?"
"Kristen is my best friend so I figured since it was unlocked that was just an invitation from her for me to come in. How was I supposed to know you two would be gettin' jiggy with it right in front of the door?"
"It's my house and if I feel like 'gettin jiggy with it' on my front porch I will," AJ said mocking Toni.
"Oh please don't. You'll freak the neighbors out by the sight of your body."
"No, I'll make the neighbors pass out by the sight of my body. It's hot."
"Oh my God, you think way too highly of yourself."
"No, I just work hard for this body and I'm damn proud of it," AJ said when he heard the shower water stop running. "Now if you will excuse me I have some unfinished business to attend to."
"Give me a break AJ. She just took a shower she doesn't need your slobber all over her again."
"Hey, I don't slobber."
"No, you only drool like a dog," Toni said. AJ just glared at her then walked out of the living room. He opened the bathroom door to see Kristen wearing jeans and a bra just staring at herself in the mirror.
"What's wrong?"
"Do you think they will ever go away?" Kristen asked as she traced one of the scars on her stomach with her finger tips. "These scars look terrible."
"I won't lie to you," AJ said standing behind Kristen and wrapping his arms around her waist. "They will always been there but they will slowly fade over the years. But no matter what kind of marks you have on your body or how you look, you will always be beautiful," AJ said as he turned Kristen's head so she was looking at him. He smiled at her as her lips met with his own and they kissed each other passionately.
