What Is SKYMAC? The Southern Kentucky Model Aero Club (SKYMAC) was chartered on November 30, 1973 and has had AMA charter #1158 continuously since that time. We now have a very nice site. Our facility includes and 500' x 50' paved runway, Concession building, medium sized pavilion with gravel floor, and a building for maintenance equipment. Our Purpose SKYMAC is a Non-profit organization. Our purpose is the promotion and advancement of aviation in general and model aviation on particular. New members are always welcome! How to become a New Member? It's very easy, come out to the field on any weekend, if its over 50 degrees outside and the winds not blowing 25mph then someone should be at the field to assist you, or you can email me HERE. You can also go to Dad's Toy's hobby-shop for complete help, there's always someone from the club there, you can find the location for both the flying site and the hobby-shop on the Location page. |
