Shop Till Julie Drops
“What kind of crap is this!” Nick took out an old worn out T-shirt as he raided her closet.
“It’s called a shirt Nick.” Julie answered as she came back in the room with two cold Dr. Peppers.
“Yeah but you’ve had this since you were like 13. That’s 5 years too many!” Julie laughed at Nick’s interest in her wardrobe. She handed him a glass but he just put it down on the nightstand. “Oh and what about this one!” Nick took out a white shirt that had coke stains towards the bottom and a tiny rip through the middle of the front. “Girl this has to go! I think I should buy you a new wardrobe!”
“Nick, I happen to like my old clothes. Besides I’m not like you who has to get a new wardrobe every year.”
“Hey I do keep the classics! But Julie, you’ve had this look all your life, you know the tommy-boyish, I don’t care look. Well it’s time you care!”
Now this is the type of guy I miss around here. “Under one condition.”
“Yeah?”
“I get an entire make over. Not only clothes but like a new hair due, my face made up, with buying the makeup on the side, and a manicure.”
“BJ or I could give you a manicure anytime!” Yes you read it right Nick loves painting her’s and his sister’s nails.
“Manicure or I don’t even spend a minute with you at the mall.”
“Okay if you let me take you to Brian’s party he’s having tonight.” Julie looked at Nick for a second before replying as if something was wrong.
“Party?…”
“Yeah he’s having a party with people he knows. It’s gonna be at his house.” Nick inquired.
“So that’s why you were raiding my closet?”
“Well that was one reason. But girl you need new clothes. They just don’t fit your figure or personality anymore.” Julie threw her pillow at Nick. “Scratch the last part I said.”
First stop, the mall.
Nick practically pulled her out of his Prowler (The corvette was still in the shop from the collision.) and dragged her the entire way. It’s not that he didn’t want to get noticed, they had Quinn his bodyguard with them, he just wanted her to shop till she dropped early enough to get to B-rok’s party by 8. It was only noon but Nick wanted time to eat.
“Not Abercrombie. No, no, and no! Nick I don’t want clothes from there!” Nick rolled his eyes and just kept pulling her along by the hand.
“To bad.” Nick laughed as she tried to loosen her grip from his. He practically pushed her in the doors by her shoulders and laughed again at her. He whispered to her. “There’s nothing to be scared of looking like other people, and even though this stuff would be outa your price range, I’m paying remember?”
“Fine I’ll get some AnF crap.”
“She sure put up a fight!” Quinn laughed with Nick before finding where Julie went off too.
“Why do they have to make so many colors!? I can’t choose this stuff! Nick you do it since you’re so into getting me this stuff.”
“Oh alright but you will have to try on a lot of different clothes…” And to think, I always thought it was the guy wanting the girl to pick out the clothes for him… People these days… Quinn thought as he watched the two bickering over some type of material. Within five hours Julie and Nick had gotten her a whole new set of clothes and accessories to go with. You have just got to love Nick’s credit card. Julie finally let him eat a pizza in the cafeteria and they were off to the beautician’s by 5:30. They gave her a chin length haircut cut in front with like layers towards her face, different from her below the shoulder hair due and put some deep blonde highlights in it. The styled it by curling the bottom inwards and making two small braids from hair above the ears and tied them together in the back. It didn’t take long for them to apply the perfect color of make up to match a blue dress she wanted to wear for the night. The last thing Nick promised to treat her to for the day was the nails so she got her nails painted vanilla colored.
