Silkk The Shocker
Real Name: Zyshonne Miller Nickname(s): Silkk The Shocker, Mr.
Hometown: 3rd Ward Calliop, New Orleans He is the youngest brother outof
the Miller family as well as the youngest member of No Limit Records. He is
currently 19 years old. He has the same siblings as Master P has. He grew up
in 3rd ward Calliope Projects in New Orleans. He finished elementary school
in New Orleans, and then moved out to Richmond, CA after his brother Kevin
Miller died. There, Silk went to high school and worked P's record store, No
Limit Records. Silk got his name from his smooth and attractive personality he
had with other people. Everyone used to call him, "Lil' Silk," when he was
growing up. When Master P started rapping, Silk got into rapping. At the age
of 13, Silk had already started appearing on P and other fellow No Limit
rappers' albums. He became part of the group TRU and came out with their
album "True," in '95. After P established No Limit Records, he set up Silk
with his solo debut, "The Shocker." Silk found his niche and changed his name
up by adding a "K," so no one would get confused with the R&B group Silk
and also they claimed the name first. He also added The Shocker to his name,
since he thought it fit well. Silkk appeared on just about every No Limit
album that came out and in early '97, his group TRU released their second
anticipated album, "Tru 2 Da Game." In early February of '98, Silkk came out
with his second solo release, "Charge It 2 Da Game," which gained Silkk his
personal national fame. Silkk, now, is currently working with his new group,
Da 504 Boyz. His third solo album, "Made Man" is set to be out sometime in
'99. You can catch Silkk the Shocker on various No Limit Soldiers'albums,
and, now, famous rapstars' albums like Celly Cel and Mya.
