Turning from heel to babyface with the MWA, Rage decided to change his image. Out of tribute to his Martial arts idol, the late Brandon Lee, and a love for his betrayal of the Crow, Rage decided to change his name to Eric Draeven when he signed with the CWA(Central Wrestling Alliance). He went on to win the NCW/AAA,and CWA heavyweight titles, as well as the WSW lightweight and tag team titles along with the HCPWA hardcore title in Michigan.
