Time Warp

Mark watched at AJ and Aurora walked down the street side by side. They had gotten along well during dinner, but now they were beginning to get on each other's nerves.

"Alright. Let's just add some fireworks off in the distance...and some flowers..." Mark punched on the keys on his keypad. He somehow read the fire works codes wrong, because when he expected the bright lights and color to fill the screen, it didn't.  Instead when he looked over he saw AJ and Aurora disappear into thin air. "What the..." He muttered as he tried to find out what had happened........AJ and Aurora fell out of nowhere onto the hard ground.

"Ow!" exclaimed Aurora as she attempted to get up. AJ got up and stood next to her.

"Where are we?" He looked around him, bewildered.

"Well it appears that we are standing in the middle of a wooded area" She replied with a hint of sarcasm.  They were indeed standing in the middle of a large forest, thick with trees. Not only that, but now it
was just about dusk, not night time like before.

"What happened?" she suddenly asked.

"How the hell should I know?" He replied testily.

"Oh shut up! This is all your fault!"

AJ reeled back in surprise. "MY FAULT?! HOW THE HELLIS IT MYFAULT?!!!"

"It just is okay! Look! There are some people! Maybe they can tell us where we are!" Aurora had noticed
about five men riding horseback through the woods. She waved her arms wildly,

"Hey! Hey! Over here! Hey!" The leader of the group looked over, and with in seconds AJ and Aurora were surrounded by them. They all took off their helmets and kneeled before Aurora.

"Princess! You shouldn't have strayed so far from the castle" One of them said.

"What the hell are you talking about? Did you get hit on the head or something?" demanded Aurora with her hands on her hips.

"Yeah. She's no princess!" AJ declared.

"Let's not be hasty! If this big lug here wants to call me a princess and bow down to me, then I have no objections." The leader turned to a man kneeling next to him.

"The princess has been brain washed. She does not remember. It is him." He pointed to AJ and commanded.
"Cease him! Before he knew it, AJ was bound with his hands behind his back by two of the men.

"Hey! Let me go!"

"Yeah! Let him go!"

"Princess, he has performed a spell on you, that is why you do not remember. I will bring you to the royal
sorcerer and he will get your memory back. Until then, I am Gregory captain of the guards, you will remember in time. " The leader said.

"He didn't put a spell on me! I would remember if he did! And I am NOT your princess!" Aurora proclaimed getting tired of this game. Then Gregory picked her up and put her on his horse. "Hey! Where are we going?  What's going on?!" She whined. No one answered her.  Instead they began to walk through the woods, Aurora the only one on horse back. When they were almost there, Aurora and AJ looked up to see a great castle.  They looked at each other and both saw fear and anticipation in the other's eyes.

"Hey, Captain Gregory! What's the date?" Aurora suddenly asked.

"Why it is the year of our lord 1592 your highness and we are coming upon Hillidon Castle in which you rule."

"1592?!" Aurora cried out as she glanced over at AJ who also showed surprise. "But how did we...." She shook her head. "Hey, will you let AJ go already? He didn't do anything. He's my friend" Aurora said in yet another attempt to free AJ of his bindings. Captain Gregory just shook his head and they continued to the gates of the castle...

...."Oh what did I do?" Mark wailed as he tried to come up with a picture of Aurora and AJ. Finally the screen blinked a few times and he got a picture of Aurora being led through a forest on horseback by five warriors while AJ was being held by two of them. A date flashed across the screen. 1592. "1592?! I must have sent them back in time somehow! How did this happen? How do I fix this? I'll never get my wings at this rate!"....

....."Princess Aurora has been neither brain washed or had a spell cast upon her. Perhaps she simply hit her head and does not remember." The old man said to Captain Gregory. They were now inside the castle, and Aurora had just been examined by the royal sorcerer.

"Yeah, that's it. I slipped and hit my head." Aurora said finally giving up. She had decided to just play along until she could figure out what was going on.

"Well, why did you not tell us sooner Princess?"

"I dunno. I guess I just forgot about it until now.  Where's AJ?"

"Why, in the dungeon of course. That's where we usually put prisoners."

"The dungeon?! You put him in the dungeon?! What is wrong with you? I as your princess demand that you take me to him immediately!" Aurora yelled to him in an outrage. He bowed.

"Yes your highness. Right this way your highness." She followed him down a series of stairs and passages deep into the castle. Finally they came to a guarded gate.

"Open the door. Princess Aurora wishes to see the prisoner." The soldier bowed and opened the gate.  Aurora entered the dungeon timidly. It was dark and she didn't see anything at first, but then she caught a movement out of the corner of her eye.

"AJ?"

"Aurora? Is that really you?" He asked emerging. When she nodded, he went up to her and hugged her. Aurora was surprised that he would have this strong of a reaction.

"Come on. Let's get you out of here. It's icky inhere."

"Yeah, try spending an hour in here."

"Please, I'd rather not. Oh Captain!" Aurora was beginning to like this authoritative command.

"Yes your majesty?"

"Take me to my chambers."

"But...don't you KNOW where your chambers are?"

"I hit my head remember? I'm still a little woozy.  You'll have to show me." She said playing it up. AJ looked at her and she shrugged.

"Yes, of course. You'll have to change out of those clothes your majesty." "What's wrong with my clothes?" The captain gave her a look, which made her realize she would have to change out of her short skirt and tank top. AJ then realized that he would probably have to change out of his jeans and shirt too....

....Gina stuck her head in the door.

"Hey Mark. How's it going? Everything ok?" Mark swallowed hard,

"Oh yeah. Everything's going great. I think I'm really making some progress."

"That's good. Do you need anything?"

"No, no. I'm fine."

"Ok. Well you should get some sleep soon. You look stressed." Oh you have no idea! He thought.

"Yeah, thanks I'll do that." Gina smiled and closed the door. Mark whipped the sweat from his brow. He was working on somehow contacting Aurora in the past, and he just about had it....

.....AJ waited for Aurora in her magnificent chamber.  He had changed into some kind of fancy outfit, which made him pretty uncomfortable, but he knew he couldn't object. Aurora came out of an adjoining room and took his breath away. She had never looked so beautiful as she did right then. She'd never looked so graceful and angelic. He couldn't understand why he hadn't seen it earlier. She was wearing a beautiful rose colored gown, which came to the floor. It fit her in the stomach, and came out at the hips. The front of the dress was low and pushed her breasts up as to show cleavage. The sleeves fit her arms tightly and extended over her hands to her fingers where it was held by a thread.  Her dark hair was down and on top there was placed a ringlet of rose colored flowers. Aurora blushed slightly as she saw how AJ was staring at her.

"You look amazing" He almost whispered. He then shook his head coming out of his trance, for the moment.

"Thanks. You look uh-very decorative." He looked down at his costume and laughed. Aurora giggled and said, "So did you find out anything more?" AJ shook his head.

"No. It just doesn't make any sense. One minute we were walking down the street annoying each other, the next we're in a forest in England in the 1500's. I don't even think I believe in this kind of stuff."

"Mark." Aurora said as she suddenly came to terms with everything that was happening.

"Who's Mark?" Aurora ignored him,

"He did this. He promised me an evening that I would never forget. Mark, you get out here! You hear me?
Now!" Mark materialized and said meekly although he knew the answer,

"Yes?"

"Is that all you have to say? This is NOT my idea of a fun filled evening. I thought you said to trust you?"
Mark played with his hands,

"Well, you see I sort of put in the wrong code and made you guys jump through a time warp. I didn't plan it and I'm working on fixing it."

"Wait a minute. Who are you?" AJ demanded.

"I'm Mark. I'm her new guardian angel."

"I though you had the same guardian angel all your life" AJ said not really surprised that he was talking
to a heavenly being-not after he had just jumped back and forth.

"You do. Unless you have a special case."

"Why do I have a special case?"

"I can't tell you that. You need to find out for yourself." He turned to AJ before dematerializing, "So do you" There was a knock at the door.

"Come in!" Aurora called. A young servant girl not much older than Aurora came in and bowed.

"Supper is ready your highness."

"Thank you" Aurora said. The girl bowed once more before leaving. Luckily Aurora knew where the dinning hall was, she had seen it when they had come to her room. "Which reminds me." She smiled as she walked out the door with AJ" Why don't you bow down to me? I am after all a princess."

"Don't push it Aurora." AJ warned. She simply laughed.
