 Megumi prepares her things. Tonight is her last night in Tokyo. To her left 
 is a boarding pass for a train bound to Aizu; To her right are strewn 
 clothing and pile of used bandages... Sano's badages. She folds a flowered 
 yukata even though her vision begins to blur.

 [It was good for me]
     Sanosuke rests his head against the outer wall of Megumi's appartment.   
   

 [It was good for you]
     His eyes stare blankly ahead.           

 [Now nothing either of us can say or do]
     His lips move but no words come out. 

 [Can change the way you feel tonight]
     Megumi is overwhelmed by the growing pang in her heart.

 [Sometimes love just slips out of sight...]
     She closes her eyes letting a stream tears course down the side of her 
 face.



 [Just one thing before you go]
     Sanosuke pulls away from the building.

 [Just one thing that you've got to know]
     A pale light caresses the side of cheek as he turns towards the street.

 [No one will ever touch me that way]
     He closes his eyes feeling a sense of loss...

 [The way that you did that very first day]
     He realizes that she won't ever come back.



 [And I'll]
     Megumi lies down in her futon.

 [Never be the same without you here]
     The rocking of her shoulders lulls her to a restless kind of sleep.

 [I'll live alone]
     Sanosuke roams the city,

 [Hide myself behind my tears]
     his senses guiding him to the train staion.

 [And I'll]
     Morning.

 [Never be the same without your love]
     Megumi waves to the melancholy crowd on the platform. 

 [I'll live alone]
     As the train pulls off, Sano turns away from the group.

 [Try so hard to rise above]
     A single teardrop finally falls from his eyes.



 [The years go by]
     Sanosuke throws rice at the newly wed Kenshin and Kaoru.

 [There's always someone new]
     He stops to study his date.

 [To try and help me forget about you]
     She smiles at him but he can't help but look away.

 [Time and again it does me no good]
     His thoughts drift back to Megumi.

 [Love never feels the way that it should]
     His unhealed fist trembles causing the remaining rice to drift away. 



 [I loved you then I guess I'll love you forever]
     Megumi locks the door of her clinic.

 [And even though I know we could never stay together]
     She walks outside and pauses at the sight before her...     

 [I think about how it could have been]
     A boy with black hair and brown eyes punches a smaller, red-haired boy. 

 [If we could just start all over again]
     Her eyes glisten as she walks away. 



 [It was good for me]
     She smiles as she wipes a tear from her eyes.

 [It was good for you]
     Sano stares into his cup of sake.  

 [Now nothing either of us can say or do]
     A concerned Tae glances over her shoulder.

 [Can change the way you feel today]
     By the time she looks over again, Sano is gone...

 [Sometimes love just slips away...]
     As Tae clears away the table, she notices that Sano left a yen peice,
     and picture of Megumi.

 1.Christopher Cross has such a beautiful voice! I love his music!! @.@

 2.I started wondering how it would be like for Megumi if she knew she wasn't
     coming back... And then what about Sano *sniff*
