AJ watched pretty much throughout the night as Madalyn slept peacefully next to him on the floor of the main room. They had been watching a movie but had turned it off to talk. He had learned that her parents disowned her after they found out she was pregnant and she had tried numerous times to contact them but they wanted nothing to do with her or Colin. Trevor's parents had been the same way.
She had learned how burned he had been with his ex-girlfriend in the beginning of Backstreet Boys. She had learned how him and Trevor became the friends they had once been.
He sighed and rolled over onto his back, staring up at the ceiling. "AJ?"
"Yeah Madalyn?"
"Are you awake?"
He looked over at her, "Yeah.."
She yawned and stretched cat-like and then smiled sleepily, "Ok.."
He smiled, "Why'd you wake up?"
She shrugged, "Without the kid, it's like I'm 18 again.."
He laughed and rolled over to pull her closer to him, "Do you ever regret having him?"
She was silent for a moment and then she answered a simple, "No."
"Really?"
"Really..Colin helped me see what a jerk Trevor really was. And what a great guy you really are."
"Oh really now?"
She smiled, "Yep."
"Well his mom isn't too bad either.."
Madalyn snuggled into his arms and sighed, "I know this is bad to say..but I don't want this weekend to end.."
"How come?"
"Because...I don't want reality to come and hit me full force.."
"What do you mean?"
Madalyn flipped around so she could see him, "What exactly are we AJ?"
AJ had to look away from her, her eyes seemed to be penetrating into his entire being. "I...I don't know Madalyn...I want us to be so much more..I want there to actually be an 'us'....but I don't know if you want the same..or if either of us are ready.."
"AJ...I not only bring myself into this, I bring Colin...he'd be the one to get hurt in the end..if..if this didn't work out."
"But I don't see why it couldn't.."
She smiled, "I don't either really...but..as my luck has been running, something bad will happen.."
"Not necessarily."
"True..but so far, it has...AJ...I want more than anything to give myself completely to you..but I need you, completely, back..."
He nodded sitting up, "I know Madalyn..."
She bit her lip, "I sound like such a dork.."
He smiled reaching out to brush her hair back, "You are not a dork.."
"Anyways..so..are we?"
"Are we what?"
"AJ!"
He smiled lazily, "Honey, it's like 2 a.m....I'm tired! I can't think!"
She pushed him back playfully, "What are we AJ?"
"You are mine...and I am yours Madalyn...for as ever long as you want me to be."
She smiled, "Really?"
"Really..," He said taking her hand and placing it over his heart, covering it with his hand.
She smiled, "You are mine AJ and I am yours..."
He grinned, "Really?"
"Really."
He leaned up, burying his hand in her hair, bringing her down to him, for their first searing kiss.
