"Madalyn??"
AJ waited for a moment but heard nothing. He sighed and looked at his watch, they had to be at the airport in an hour to depart back to Orlando. He sighed and walked up the stairs, he had run out to put the things into the car and had come back and Madalyn was no where to be found. He started up the stairs and went into the first of the bedrooms, "Madalyn?? Where are you at? We gotta leave here in a few minutes or we won't be able to make the flight!"
He ducked out of the first bedroom and into another one where they had been sleeping, "Maaaadddaaalllyyyynnnnnnnnnnnnn"
Her head poked out from the bathroom door, "What are you yelling about??"
He turned around, "Damn woman! You scared the hell out of me! Where have you been??"
She stepped out, "Fixing my hair and make-up..."
"I've been calling you for like five minutes."
She smiled, "I'm sorry..I didn't hear you...we ready?"
He nodded, "Yep. Come on woman, let's get home."
That evening, Madalyn and AJ arrived back in Orlando. Denise and Colin were waiting at the terminal entrance when they came off. Colin rushed Madalyn and she picked him up, hugging and kissing him all over the place while he just giggled and pulled away as she tickled him. Denise watched the two and then hugged AJ. "Hey momma..have fun with the kid?"
"Wasn't too bad...he's a cute kid."
AJ kissed her cheek before pulling away and straightening up, "I know..he's a good one too.."
"That he is.."
Madalyn put Colin down and went to give Denise a hug. "Thank you so much for watching him.."
Denise just smiled, "It was nothing, he was wonderful, not a bit of trouble. Plus, I know you and AJ both needed this."
"That we did."
"Let's go get your bags and I'll drop you all off at the house..I'm sure you're pretty tired."
Madalyn nodded, "I am kinda tired."
AJ agreed, "Me too..come on kiddo!"
Colin hopped on AJ's back as he knelt down and they started towards baggage claim.
Madalyn tucked in a very worn out Colin into bed about 11:30 or so. "Mommy, I'm not tired..," He said fighting off a yawn.
She smiled and brushed his hair back, "Yes you are sweetie.."
"Mom...but I wanna spend time with you...."
"Honey, me and AJ aren't going anywhere else anytime soon...we just needed this weekend...we'll be here when you wake up in the morning.."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
He smiled sleepily, "Ok...night mommy."
"Night Colin...sleep tight ok?"
"Ok."
She kissed his forehead and pulled the covers over him and then left the room, shutting the door quietly.
Madalyn walked down the hallway to AJ's room and walked inside. He was sitting at his computer desk, typing something and turned when he heard her, "Hey...he asleep?"
"Yep..finally."
He smiled, "Cool.."
He turned around and motioned for her to approach him, she did and he pulled her into his lap, "Soooo..we're technically alooone, huh?"
She laughed, "Ummm...I guess so."
He kissed her neck, "Soooooooo..."
"Sooooo.."
He laughed, "Thank you Madalyn."
"For what?"
"For this weekend...I truely enjoyed it."
"Me too AJ..."
She leaned down and kissed him.
Their kiss deepened and jumped when the phone rang shrilly, jolting them from their 'moment'. Madalyn dashed for it, "Hello?"
"Madalyn? So nice of you to finally answer the phone."
"I was out of town this weekend Trevor."
"What'd you do with Colin?"
"He stayed with AJ's mom.."
"Coulda called me."
"Could have, but I didn't want to."
"And why not? I am his father, Madalyn."
"Because..I'm not comfortable with you keeping Colin longer than you have to."
"I want to see him."
"Ok..when?"
"Tomorrow."
"He has school."
"After.."
"Ok...want to pick him up?"
"Sure."
"Ok..then you can bring him by the house later..."
"Sounds good..talk to you later."
"Bye Trevor."
She hung up and turned to look at AJ, "That was Trevor."
He smiled, crawling onto the bed, "So I gathered.."
She groaned flopping against the pillows, "He is sooo pushy!"
He smiled pushing her hair back, "I know.."
"He's going to take Colin tomorrow after school.."
"Ok..we can have the afternoon off together, huh?"
"True..I am off tomorrow.."
He smiled, "Cool..I have to go into the studio for a bit to meet with the guys..you're welcome to come meet us after you take Colin..."
"You sure?"
"I don't."
"I know you don't J! I'm talking about the guys.."
"They don't care, damn Madalyn."
He kissed her forehead, "Come on, let's get some sleep."
"Sounds good to me."
AJ turned over and flipped off the light.
