Chapter 5- Beaches

A few days later, Kevin was out of the studio and Madison was off work so they decided to spend the day at the beach with Andrew. Kevin had just bought a beach house in Cocoa Beach, Fl. which was about 45 minutes away from his home in Orlando. The house was pretty modest, 2 floors, 4 bedrooms, 2 and a half bathrooms, a pool out back and then the beach right off the deck. The house was painted in light, airy blues and greens. Kevin couldn't wait to show Madison and Andrew the house.

Andrew ran through the house with Reese to explore while Madison looked around with Kevin. "Kevin...this house just screams beach."

He wrapped his arms around her and smiled, "Thats what I wanted."

"I like it.."

"Me too..its relaxing."

"Uh huh.."

"You wanna go to the beach, don't you?"

Madison nodded, "Yep."

"Race you upstairs to change..."

"Kevin!! Thats not fair!," She exclaimed running after him.

Once they both changed, and got Andrew to change, they grabbed towels and Reese and walked down to the beach. It was still early afternoon and the sun was high and hot; perfect for swimming.

Madison watched as Kevin took Andrew down to the water to try to teach him to surf. 'One thing about it..Kev is reeeally good with kids..,' She thought as she lathered herself in some sunscreen before laying back to get some sun.

Okay...Madison couldn't play football. She wasn't a sports person. So why did she agree to try to play two-hand-touch with Kevin and Andrew???

Because she's kinda dumb.

Madison sighed as Andrew scored again. Him and Kevin against her...now, how was that fair when she didn't know the first thing about football?

Kevin laughed and gave Andrew a high five. Madison put her hands on her hips, "This seriously isn't fair."

"Oh? How?," Kevin asked walking over.

"Because the only thing I know about football is what a touchdown is."

"What is it?"

"Where one guy runs through the two..posts with the football and scores."

He smiled, "Yes..thats right.."

"Don't make fun of me."

"I'm not making fun of you!"

She punched him playfully in the stomach as he laughed, "You are too!"

Kevin rolled around in the sand as Andrew tackled him, laughing. Kevin saw Madison still standing and stood up himself before walking over and picking her up. "KEVIN! Put me down! NO! DON'T GET ME IN THE WAAATTTTEEERR!"

Andrew laughed as Kevin dropped her into the ocean. She emerged, stood up, and pushed Kevin backwards where he fell into the shallow water. He then pulled Madison down with him, they were both cracking up.

Madison leaned over to Kevin, "I say we get Andrew in here.."

"You're right."

They got up and ran after Andrew, who in turn took off running towards the sand.

Madison caught him and picked him up. "NOOO! AUNT MADISON!"

She laughed and carried him towards Kevin. Kevin took him from her, threw Andrew over his shoulder, and took him down to the water.

Later that night, Kevin and Madison sat out on the deck with candles surrounding them to keep bugs away. She leaned back against him and sighed happily. He tightened his arms, "You tired?"

"A little..you?"

"A little bit..today was fun."

"Uh hmmm..he had a good time.."

"Yep..did his aunt have a good time?"

"Very...did the owner of this house have a good time?," She asked smiling.

Kevin laughed, "Yes I did.."

"Good.."

"Next week we're going to NYC for studio time and meetings..you want to come?"

"Sure..what day?"

"We leave Friday morning..Andrew flys out Thursday afternoon, right?"

"Yep. So that works out.."

He nodded, "Yep..."

"Is Leigh goin'?"

"Yeah.."

"Oh good..I have someone to go shop with."

He grinned, "Sounds like fun."

"Yep..you know it."

As they drifted off into a comfortable silence, Kevin smiled to himself...it was going to be perfect. He couldn't wait.
