"Andrew, you be good for your dad and anytime you wanna come visit, call me and we'll arrange everything, okay?"
He nodded, "Okay..thanks for letting me come Aunt Madi, it was fun!"
She smiled as he hugged her tightly. "Well it was fun havin' you here."
Madison handed Andrew his boarding pass and carry-on and directed him to the right gate. She watched as he handed the woman his pass and she let him through, he turned once and waved at her and then turned and continued on to the plane. Madison sighed, turned and walked towards the parking lot.
Kevin was leaning against her car and grinned as he saw her coming. "Hey you."
"Hey yourself..whatcha doin'?," She asked stuffing her hands in her pockets.
"Waiting for a blonde woman I was supposed to spend the day with but since she hasn't showed I guess you'll do."
Madison shoved him playfully, "Funny.."
"So, Andrew off?"
"Yep..I think he needs to see his dad.."
Kevin nodded, "Yeah..its been almost two weeks.."
"I know..sometimes I wish they didn't live so far away.."
"I know how that is..so, you ready to head out?"
She nodded, "Yep..I gotta get some last minute things before tomorrow morning's flight.."
"Mmmadddiisooonnn..."
"Quit your whining Richardson and get in the car."
Later that day, Madison and Kevin were back at his house lounging around. Madison curled up as much as she could on his couch and tried to concentrate on the movie they had on. It wasn't working..the movie was boring!
Kevin fought to keep his eyes open but his exhaustion got the best of him and he fell asleep.
It took Madison a little while to figure out not only was Kevin not paying attention to the movie but he was asleep. She smiled and covered him with the blanket on the back of the couch.
She decided to go on-line on his computer and walked towards his office. She logged on under her name and began sorting through her e-mail.
Kevin woke up about a half hour later to find he tv off and Madison nowhere to be found. He got up and rubbed the back of his neck, it hurt so bad! He heard faint typing sounds coming from his office and pushed the door open. Madison was perched there, her legs folded under her, her fingers flying fast across the keyboard. She didn't even hear him come in.
He snuck up behind her, knowing he'd scare her, and touched her shoulder gently. She jumped about a mile and turned to see who the assailant was, "Kevin! You scared the crap out of me!"
He laughed, "That was the point my dear."
She slapped him gently on the shoulder, "That was mean.."
"Awww..I'm sorry baby..you just looked so cute sitting there typing.."
"Awww my ass..you are such a dork sometimes!"
He laughed and pulled her closer to him, "I know that...but so are you sometimes.."
"Uh huh..you should be punished for that.."
He cocked an eyebrow, "Oh I should?"
"Yep, you should..but I won't...not this time.."
He grinned and kissed her, "Good.."
She smiled, "But next time Kev...you're goin' down.," She said and bolted out of the room.
Kevin laughed and took off after her.
